We have tested it for the last 3 days.
Braising steak ,beef bourgythingy and stew and dumplings tonight.
All done in the slow cooker and were delicious.
I can confirm that a £6.00 joint makes 3 decent size meals for 2 people and the offcuts for the dog.:T
    Ooooo glad its nice :D

With little to do in my 10 minute sit up I check a couple of Mr A receipts, nowt back, but ....

I'm not savvy enough to find glitches but on one of my wombles is

Gallo Family Vineyards White Zinfandel 75cl. £3.60

Online it's showing as Rolled back from £6 to £4

    Other stores are

    W. n/a
    M. 6.50
    S. 6.00
    T. 6.00

Don't know if it's any good for anything. Can you tell I'm bored :rotfl:

Sorry that you are confined to your bed Aj.

    Don't go over doing it.
My sister is having an operation on her spine tomorrow.
She has had so much pain with her back. This is the last resort for her.We are hoping it will relieve some of her pain and get her off the painkillers

Seeing how much it has affected her gives me some indication what you are going through.

    Take care.

DH and I had our DS at age 19/20, we have been so near to no money, not being able to pay the rent so many times! We always seemed to be lucky and the !!!!!! never actually reached the fan, thank goodness.
We are now a couple in our 60s, in a very modest 2 up 2 down terraced house, with, as of next week, no mortgage and no debt, and our cupboards are full. When we lived in our 'Cooncil hoose' our neighbour would have bought her son all of the then have to have you gifts for Christmas, my DH made a garage, I bought and cleaned second hand Fischer Price toys. I January we still had food in the cupboard and dear neighbour was doing the I'll eat later thing. She was still paying the catalogue for that Christmas in the following November.

That's what we did, the kids presents were from car boot sales for a few years, they never knew the difference.

What worries me is that I saw the price tag on a rucksack that my DS's fiancee had bought for my granddaughter, not even a present. £32 :eek::eek:

They say they are broke but they don't know what the word means, they think nothing of going to Starbucks regularly and buying things like that for the kids, I would never spend that much on a rucksack for me, let alone for a 2 year old  In fact the last 4 rucksacks I have had (1 in use by me, 1 for OH and 2 spare) have been freebies from Screwfix Live :D
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Has anyone ever won on the Daily Mail Connect Four comp- and managed to get through on the phone to collect their winnings ???
Dh got a line of 4 on Friday which is supposed to pay out £50 but you have to phone (a freefone number fortunately) on Friday, Saturday or Monday. Inspite of constantly re-dialing for 2 days, it is impossible to get through to them and I don't hold out much hope for tomorrow.

Its only £50 in this case - but if anyone has got a £1000 or higher win and can't claim it they must be in a right state !
