Sorry couldn't resist. Good job TM is not about or this could go on forever.
I do feel for people flooded out. The government need to do far more for drainage and flood barriers and it seems older houses are far more at risk.
Village I bought my children up in flooded so road had to be shut. One year eldest ds was on his own and so worried he and his mates put all the furniture upstairs both at home and his his aunts house. Luckily they were ok but if you opened trap door could see water rushing through the footings:eek:
My dds mil has been without gas for 5 days as the builders building new homes nearby cut through pipes. No gas in 3 villages. They are in their 80s and village have been very proactive looking after everyone. Of course the local burger and fish vans are doing a great trade. Someone asked the builders what support they were providing and apparently they have done nothing.
They should have been arranging to deliver hot meals to everyone twice a day and providing electric heaters. Mil has lived in same house all her life and had storage heaters until 2 years ago when she finally had gas put in and central heating at last. Not impressed at all. But they have an open fire and are sleeping in their reclining chairs at night in front of fire.
Stay dry as you can.

Evening paw sniffers:D
Finally DD has found her way home along flooded roads and villages. Oz hasn't been seen all day. He's frightened of the wind and will be hiding somewhere and certainly won't venture out in the rain.
This weather is terrible:eek:
Hope everyone is safe and well.
Just catching the tail end of best wishes for Mr Dol. Fingers crossed that everything is fine this time Sarah:T.To do is to be. Rousseau
