I saw Bristol on the news and wondered if you and your babies were ok. Have you got a dinghy or a canoe just incase you need it to get to the pub for your free meals or have you eaten them all?Sarahdol75 wrote: »Evening all.

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

we did wonder if sainsbobs had any as could at least get £40 off. Nor sure what the difference is between this one and next one up apart from the 2 heads instead of one. Have been thinking when I choose which one to order but not open incase it is less on Friday as I expect all prices to go up on Saturday.

Sorry couldn't resist. Good job TM is not about or this could go on forever.
I do feel for people flooded out. The government need to do far more for drainage and flood barriers and it seems older houses are far more at risk.
Village I bought my children up in flooded so road had to be shut. One year eldest ds was on his own and so worried he and his mates put all the furniture upstairs both at home and his his aunts house. Luckily they were ok but if you opened trap door could see water rushing through the footings:eek:
My dds mil has been without gas for 5 days as the builders building new homes nearby cut through pipes. No gas in 3 villages. They are in their 80s and village have been very proactive looking after everyone. Of course the local burger and fish vans are doing a great trade. Someone asked the builders what support they were providing and apparently they have done nothing.
They should have been arranging to deliver hot meals to everyone twice a day and providing electric heaters. Mil has lived in same house all her life and had storage heaters until 2 years ago when she finally had gas put in and central heating at last. Not impressed at all. But they have an open fire and are sleeping in their reclining chairs at night in front of fire.
Stay dry as you can.

If that was half the price I would be getting one for DS, too much of a useless novelty to spend that much on! Incidentally, DS is 29:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
