I have to check doors, windows, curtains, put out cat blankets, various cat foods so no one starves in the night, put out cat litter, clear away glasses and clutter ... but then if i accidentally pick up the ipad and see if anyone is about on mse it can turn into a very long job :D

A question. Thinking of moving house. Would it be okay for a) me to take my stove with me, and b) taking my cooker with me? Stove, because I love it and the type I got has drastically shot up in price since I bought it, and I could not justify the cost now, and the cooker, I bought a free standing range cooker specifically because I was intending to move soon after moving in, but didnt, but am now. Answers on the back of a postcard please.
(And then we have my light bulbs, but that is another story ;)

You need to specify in the particulars what is included and what isn't. Your buyers would be rightly annoyed if they viewed a decent oven and it was replaced with a cheapie when they moved in.

You need to make sure the estate agent knows what is being removed. Once you have an offer and things 'go legal' you will get a solicitors form to complete to state what is staying and what is going.

Be prepared for someone to make an offer to include any items that they saw on viewing. In the scheme of things it may be worth including everything and factoring that into your price.

The only really safe way to keep the items is to take them out before viewings.

I have been looking at somewhere to move our Cash ISAs to and have settled on T Bank where you get 1.11% for a 1 year fix - you can get 1.1% with Coventry BS on Easy Access but I decided T would be quicker to set up given I have T Current and Savings. If you make any withdrawals within the year then you lose 90 days interest. Who would have thought it would take so much effort to get 1%.

thanks for this, it has saved me a lot of time and thought as its something I am wrestling with as well.
Oh has no ISA yet this yet so Ive got to sort his out.
Can you do transfers in do you know?
Ive been using an easy assess nationwide one but its dropped below 1% now so its time to do something about it
there was a raft of letters from nationwide when we got back to get my head around :)

Yes includes transfers in which is why I chose it - various websites claimed Coventry would accept transfers in but when I looked on their website to apply it said they were not accepted.

BoS - opened Sunday, appeared online instantly (on Hali account area) cards arrived Wednesday.

T opened Sunday, letter arrived Wednesday, signed and returned, account appeared online Driday, card arrived a few days later.

HSBC applied 30th October, application stalled on stage 5 of 8 as they may need more information ... two weeks later nothing since, not even an acknowledgement.

M&S, info pack arrived two days later - supposedly run by GSBC but clearly have creamed off the competent staff and installed a better system.

Yes, think i will def. I wrote a note to the duty manager while we were there and it either never got passed along or it was ignored. I also filled in one of the customer satisfaction cards but again no response.

its another activity I need to back into - compliments and complaints. The compliments emails and tweets etc sometimes result in a nice envelope of MOCs sent in the post.
The complaints are rarer but I had another serious issue with the same Bella Italia I had issues with last year so I wrote a letter to HQ and I got BI gift vouchers in response

Yesterday as we were travelling home we were stood at a station for a few mins opposite the coffee shop and there was a girl serving, all huddled up in the cold but each customer got the most fabulous huge smile as she was serving them their orders. I thought afterwards I should have made some notes and I could then have tweeted/emailed their HQ to say what a great job she was doing, brightening up the mornings of everyone she dealt with :)

Add that in your leter as well.

Google the coffee shop/train station/google maps and then write to them. I am sure if you say time/description of girl etc. they would be well chuffed, as would the lady herself.

I had a similar thing yesterday. I was doing a mystery shop, as you do :rotfl::rotfl:, and the team member who helped me was fantastic, friendly but not over familiar, helpful with her suggestions without being pushy, enthusiastic and wore such a lovely smile, it really brightened my day. The questionnaire that I had to fill in afterwards, didn't do her justice. So on the 'space' for additional comments, I wrote an essay.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Seriously, she is such an asset to that company. I had never shopped there before but will cetainly return. Reports are supposed to be used for staff training and are supposed to be read out to the team member(s) involved. I truly hope mine is read to her and she will know that someone appreciated her efforts.

    :)

Well we have been to view the house, hill took us 10 minutes to climb which left us 20 minutes to kill :o
Unfortunately the bypass is being built right behind house & it is a little too close for cat safety IMO.
It was a bit show housey with no clutter ;)So after we went to friends who have same house & that is full of 'stuff' to get a better opinion on size.
We had a good catch up about our shared holiday in Portaventura & started planning next years holiday :D

Please can I ask did everyone who got blocked and banned by shopotize get themselves reinstated?

I think FB had a day of it as well, blocking people.

Had an email about 7-10 days ago saying they could find no evidence of fraud on any of the accounts used by me/others.
They unlocked one account, but still haven't unlocked others so am waiting a response to my e-mail asking why ?
