A question. Thinking of moving house. Would it be okay for a) me to take my stove with me, and b) taking my cooker with me? Stove, because I love it and the type I got has drastically shot up in price since I bought it, and I could not justify the cost now, and the cooker, I bought a free standing range cooker specifically because I was intending to move soon after moving in, but didnt, but am now. Answers on the back of a postcard please.
(And then we have my light bulbs, but that is another story ;)

I think it depends on lots of different things... but the main question is 'is this fitted into the kitchen cupboards'

If the house is a rental, talk to the landlord (most are very good).
If the house is being sold, you may be able to add some of the cost of a new cooker to the price of the house x

Was your expectation quite low? That doesn't sound tasty to me!

    Yes I was refunded :j
I had no access to wi fi for most of a fortnight so i could not see the online banking - which was actually a good thing as the refund only went in on the 3rd and i would have driven myself mad waiting fir it - all £214 went into my credit card account :D
We had huge problems with the hotel, might be writing to HQ

I am very glad the next time we go south it will be the tried and tested Premier Inn for £39 :T

October was car MOT and servicing month so the credit card bill is gobsmacking so at least the refund has made a small hole in it :D

huge thanks again for your help in using HE, would never have had the courage otherwise

Please write and complain as if no one tells them of the problems encountered, they may not be rectified for other users. They may also offer you a freebie that you could use for another trip....
No thanks neccessary. 'mhoc and no courage' don't really go together.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Take care.

My £25 m&s gift card (for taking out an m&s credit card) arrived today - I was a bit surprised to find it has to be used by mid December and has to be used all in one go. I had assumed that it would be like their usual gift cards and not so limited.

I wonder if I could buy a £25 clothing item, return it next day and get the credit put on a normal card ?

odd occasions Ive taken things back to Marks and realised i had no receipt when i got to the desk so I've been given a credit note. These have a 12 month expiry and you can use these on anything including food, you get the change back in the form of another credit note. online though orders have to be for the same money or more.

One problem is that they just look like a normal receipt so you need to be careful to keep them separate from the usual handbag junk

    :)

We are off to view my nearly perfect house soon so I better get ready.
Another negative is that it is on top of a steep hill :o
So we are walking up to see if we can manage it daily...

Then coffee with friends who live up there for a progress report :)

It may have been nicer if it was chicken, instead of mushroom!

I can feel the earphones coming out, and a music session coming on. I need to look into a detached house.

If you are listen to loud music at this time of night you really do need a detached house! :D:D:D:D aka DM's party house x
Lights are up either side of bed SSM.
I had better put a day pic up tomorrow the right way round.

DM, you can take your light bulbs if they are specials. You would be expected to let the buyer know this before they make you an offer.

Try google perhaps there's information there. Fixtures and fittings, you can take one of them can't remember which. You can't take an extraction hood off kitchen wall for instance. Well you can but it must be replaced with a cheaper one, and again, anyone viewing must be told this before you accept their offer. I would tell them the day they view. Xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Yes, think i will def. I wrote a note to the duty manager while we were there and it either never got passed along or it was ignored. I also filled in one of the customer satisfaction cards but again no response.

its another activity I need to back into - compliments and complaints. The compliments emails and tweets etc sometimes result in a nice envelope of MOCs sent in the post.
The complaints are rarer but I had another serious issue with the same Bella Italia I had issues with last year so I wrote a letter to HQ and I got BI gift vouchers in response

Yesterday as we were travelling home we were stood at a station for a few mins opposite the coffee shop and there was a girl serving, all huddled up in the cold but each customer got the most fabulous huge smile as she was serving them their orders. I thought afterwards I should have made some notes and I could then have tweeted/emailed their HQ to say what a great job she was doing, brightening up the mornings of everyone she dealt with :)

I love giving compliments to the individual, management and company ... but it is sadly to rare an occasion x
