I think every time iOS updates the predictive text becomes even more random - it is now changing a word into a few random words that make no sense (though in fairness ... I can do random sentences myself, thank you very much iOS :D).

    Anon.

OMG - that exactly explains why - the other day I was trying to write something on an app (I was trying to report some fly tipping so the description of the location had to be very accurate) and every single word was being changed so I had to give up and use the ipad (still on much older version of IOS) to get it to go through in a readable format :rotfl:

I got those in Scarborough (sorry mhoc:D) but our SD is i town and dont go that often:o

Sheer idleness is holding me back - I've not actually checked wether the superdrug in our local town is a stockist of the mini doves yet as I hate going into town - but logically its a similar size store to Stafford so maybe not.
And I've not checked Chester yet - I was intending to today but it was a late start, very bad nights sleep and its wet and miserable here so I just gave up and do the bits I needed to d locally ...

    :)

So Fourp & I both on Virgin mobiles. Both never worked whilst away :(.

Luckily I could use hotel WiFi to FB sister to :Acheck on Fourp's brother who was house sitting. As we had no way of contacting him.

Anyway we hadn't been told about the 'welcome meet' with Thomsons rep. Eventually tracked her down on Monday morning, sat on a sofa in reception. We needed to know when bus was picking us up for airport on departure day (Friday) She told us between 8.55am & 9.10am.
Friday - We had an early breakfast & were outside waiting for bus at 8.40am.
at 9.15am a bus arrives but is only for guests flying to Birmingham. We weren't allowed on it ...
By 9.25am we were getting stressed. Check in closed at 10.15am.
No rep, no phone, panic set in.
Fourp ran inside & found a rep for another company, she had a desk upstairs (??) & checked Thomsons desk.
Pick up was 7.50am :eek::eek: - we had seen the bus when we walked to breakfast - if anyone had chased us up we wouldn't have answered room phones as we were in restaurant :(
Major panic now, as 9.35am. Luckily hotel porter offered to call us taxis. Taxis arrived 9.40am - no car seats for children... so second taxi had to return to base & get them..& meet us at airport..
Lovely taxi driver took 4 of us rapidly to airport. Got there at 10.05am & €30 lighter. I raced inside & joined huge queue for check in. Started doing a very fidgety 'notice me' dance :o
Yes I was noticed by a Thomsons assistant :j:j
Blurted out we needed to check in asap as very very late, bus never arrived etc etc ...
He was lovely - he knew we were missing :T wanted to know why we hadn't caught bus..
The others then turned up & he pushed us to front of queue. Flight was radioed, to state our luggage needed loading. We checked in & mentally collapsed on floor :o
Then Thomsons man returned with the very rep who misinformed us :mad:
She asked when we had asked her - Monday.
Oh - the times were changed on Wednesday.....
Why didn't you let us know? Usually they push a note under door with pick up time.
No apology from her, asked if we had receipts from taxis..... as if we had time to get bl00dy receipts, but we were refunded our €60 & form filled in.

So so stressful. My friend had a 4 yr old & 6 mth baby - trying to hurry - any way home now :)

I had an email invite this morning from our favourite sampling and testing place north of the border but it was for something I would not use :(.

But I went and had a look anyway at their website to see what new things were being listed to be tested and the newest looked very exciting - bath bombs in a range of luscious flavours.

sadly though they needed the under 25s  Perhaps these are a new version specifically designed for the young and trendy but I am sure more mature ladies could test bath bombs just as well ...

Maybe its because few under 25s buy bath bombs ...

OK...So an update on the sol vouchers and the free burger meal....

Initially neither voucher would scan but the manager of the sizzling put them through manually and asked what soft drink we would like too...

so no real problem getting 2 burger meals and 2 pepsi's worth
    £7.69 each

...and as yet today I've not spent any money.

Cinema wasn't bad either...I Daniel Blake....pretty true to life film.
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

I thought you were only 21!

    :T:T:T:T:T

in my head I am about the age I was when I met OH - I think there is some significance in that but I cant figure out what.

The other weekend when we were up north with eldest child and her BF the conversation turned to discussing eldest son and his GF and I was saying how mature, level headed and matter of a fact GF was and that it was very easy to forget how much younger than us she was ie all of us being a group of late twenty somethings :rotfl:
They all thought that was highly amusing but in my head I don't feel any older than them, just a lot more world weary and bedraggled :D
