some new things have appeared on COS this afternoon
I've got Schwartz herb grinder - free oregano from Morrisons - I can't see this on mysupermarket so I don't know how much it is. I've also got £1 off choice of 3 flavours. needless to say we were in Morrisons this afternoon and I as I'd already checked COS earlier I didn't realise it had updated again
it says personal to me so I wonder if anyone else has also got it?
fruit bowl has reappeared having disappeared first thing
Thank you - I don't have the grinder but family who signed up recently do.

Well, seven of us made it back for the first day
Pretty much the people I expected  We have our tutor from first year :j:T:T for this part of the course and you can really sense a change in mood/ atmosphere in the class compared with our 2nd year tutor.......
Feeling optimistic:)
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

It does - we were invited to a family wedding overseas and it was going to cost us thousands to attend and at least a week away. Their argument was it was much cheaper to get married abroad ... for them it was, yes
. We ended up having to decline, fortunately they understood but it could have ended badly if offence had been caused as they are close family
.

it was £2.29 per 100g reduced to 89p per 100g
i said can i have that one please.
how many slices sir? (yes im a sir in there)
all of it
theres quite a bit there still, ill reduce it to 38p per 100g
result, i love waitrose. i know ive said before. but ill never get pre packed ham again. its much more tasty from deli. also when frozen then defrosted. there is no excess water. you would never know it had been home frozen.
i paid £3.50 for almost a kg of ham. full price would have been £21.09
i had to work that out a few times, in case aau is about.
I'm thinking quiches, broth, omelettes, ham and pease pudding stotties:D

We have a healthy debate going on in the TM household over the Brownlee brothers.
Was Alistair driven by instinct and intuitive competitiveness or did he risk his bothers life to get him across the line?
What you do if if was your brother, sister, partner, child?
Would you push them to the finish line or lie them down and get some fluids in them?To do is to be. Rousseau

Anyone normal I would have stopped them there and then.
BUT they are not normal, they are highly trained athletes, and Alistair said later that he had been in the reverse position at some time so he probably knew what was happening, and he knows his brother. Also, if he was that dehydrated then he may well have thrown up if he had too much water. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Yeah, well when you've spent all summer contemplating about the general direction you are heading in and how you are going to achieve that through various channels to find that it matches up nicely with this part of the course :j:j:D
The dissertation however is a different storyThere is a big meeting on Wednesday about that, fingers crossed I get the same tutor as the last two years as I really don't do well adjusting to new people
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
