  • I got an email from PayPal offering £5 off next time I use them, mainly because I haven't used them for over year. Well there is a very good reason why I haven't used the them and never will. I had a refund for an item I purchased through PayPal. This refund was 8 months later, the card used had been removed from PayPal and the card itself cancelled 3 months prior, yet somehow PayPal managed to put the refund to that card when it should have bounced back. What a carry on that was!

They are contacting all inactive accounts acc to 10wys.

I have been contacted... then they send me money off eBay... but it is paypal that froze my account and won't open it again as they won't accept the info. I gave them for V3! lol

I agree with you mhoc. DD2/OH went to NY on Saturday, BA flight overbooked so tried to downgrade them a couple of classes. Changed them to a later flight. Got to IC. Heard about the explosions/bombs, obviously worried. I have DGC with me. Woke up this morning and more bombs found. 5 hour delay before I know that the are safe and breathe. Sorry to let it out. :o

I had a fab day... I felt a friends baby kick, I was called a C twice (rather enjoyed this) and best of all the house guest has left the house... whoop whoop.

No more cooking vegetarian meals for her to say she fancies the meat option..... she is literally the worst veggie I had ever met. She left the wrappers of her sanitary wear on the cupboard in the bathroom... whoop whoop x

Thanks for all your good wishes and thoughts. Sorry to off-load again.

Today didn't go well, out of the 48 Respite Homes in the area, there are only two with any space. Both are far away and neither have good reports. Non of her friends would be able to visit and I am Mum's only family in Liverpool.

Got told I had to accept one of these or Mum would have to get a Social Worker and assessment to be sent home, which is ridiculous as she can't even stand up. Told she would be bed blocking if I didn't decide today and I risked the chance these places would go and nothing would be available
Spoke to Ward Sister who was very sympathetic.

Rang Patient Liaison, who said I could refuse the place, but would not be offered any others and all a Social Worker would do was assess her ability to pay for private care.
Ward Sister rang Care Manager and got told the same story. don't know where else to turn.
Going to ring what sounds like the better of the two homes in the morning and ask if I can visit, to look around. Wish I was able to care for Mum by myself at home, but know that's not possible.[
Don't ask to visit. Any care home worth it's salt has open visiting. Been there, done that and wish you welll.
