Thanks for all your good wishes and thoughts. Sorry to off-load again.

Today didn't go well, out of the 48 Respite Homes in the area, there are only two with any space. Both are far away and neither have good reports. Non of her friends would be able to visit and I am Mum's only family in Liverpool.

Got told I had to accept one of these or Mum would have to get a Social Worker and assessment to be sent home, which is ridiculous as she can't even stand up. Told she would be bed blocking if I didn't decide today and I risked the chance these places would go and nothing would be available
Spoke to Ward Sister who was very sympathetic.

Rang Patient Liaison, who said I could refuse the place, but would not be offered any others and all a Social Worker would do was assess her ability to pay for private care.
Ward Sister rang Care Manager and got told the same story. don't know where else to turn.
Going to ring what sounds like the better of the two homes in the morning and ask if I can visit, to look around. Wish I was able to care for Mum by myself at home, but know that's not possible.
Sorry to read this hope you get something sorted outx

got some ham from the deli again tonight.

it was £2.29 per 100g reduced to 89p per 100g
i said can i have that one please.
how many slices sir? (yes im a sir in there) :p
    all of it :o
theres quite a bit there still, ill reduce it to 38p per 100g

result, i love waitrose. i know ive said before. but ill never get pre packed ham again. its much more tasty from deli. also when frozen then defrosted. there is no excess water. you would never know it had been home frozen.
i paid £3.50 for almost a kg of ham. full price would have been £21.09
i had to work that out a few times, in case aau is about. :o

:T:T:T well done, i keep loking after you said, but dont go shopping usually after 3 unless a good glitch:rotfl:

    Oh bless:o:A

Sorry to hear you are feeling like this ILTS.....do you feel like a visit to see your GP would help.....not necessarily for meds but bereavement counselling too. Nan was such a massive part of your life and suddenly she is no longer there:o No time to adjust or come to terms with losing her........sometimes....most of the time......the path through grief isn't straightforward. You can go two steps forward and three steps back:o Bad days are inevitable but you have to go through them to get through them. And sometimes you need a little help.

:j:j:j First off - bestest Llovely Madeira ♥ Enjoy

We are staying at Travelodge Thursday night & flying Friday morning...
Must keep swigging my Rescue Remedy :o interior butterflies.
I found Rescue Remedy chewing gum for the take off & landing :T

    Thank you.

I am lucky, I love flying, though have heard things about the landing at Madeira

I have got to the stage where I keep thinking of something that needs doing  Just done all the printing that needs doing, including copies of passports as ID.

Funnily enough my bag is an IT one, fairly large one and I have a lot in it, and it is only around 15kg (we have 20kg allowance). How do people manage to get that amount in

I also treated myself to an IT bag for cabin luggage, one under the maximum size so they can't turn round and say it has to be checked. We are flying EasyJet

I have had a fabulous day at Turbery Woods Owl Sanctuary. I've flown about eight different Owls, two Hippo hawks, two kestrels and a red kite.
