    Tenth Anniversary
Hi TM, when my ds got married brides mum and dad paid for her dress and two bridesmaids dresses, and the coach from the venue back to town. we paid two brides maids dress, we paid for the wine, champagne , meal, evening wild hog roast , and supplied the wedding cars, the guest list was approx 70% brides family my ds and his bride paid for the venue but we paid for the wedding decorator to dress the chairs and tables etc, in all an expensive do , my dd is planning on getting married, they got engaged last month, she wants a small affair at a local hotel that price weddings per head at the moment her dad and I will be paying it all, our choice , and it will still be less expensive than her brothers., oh and my dil'S parents are not any worse off financially than us.

Anyway, having just mentally reviewed the £ks I spent on the marriage-that-ended-in-divorce, it's time to return to brass tacks.

It says on the JF bundle deal, 80 points with this purchase. I see they have only added 40 points.

Please has anyone else had 40, or did you get the promised 80?

ETA for obvious reasons I won't be raising this with them, just curious about what people got.

I ordered 4 bundles for £20 and just checked oddly I only had 79 points added.

And even weirder the date on my AC statement, is the day before I ordered. But right order no...

Hello, not long back from the hospital.
Mum is still in a huge amount of pain and won't eat. Today we should have been at a family wedding, so she was really down.
I come home with a terrible headache and jaw-ache every day and then have to catch up with all the phone calls and other necessities.
I have a meeting in the morning with a Care Worker to discuss Care Home options as she is going to need Respite Care after hospital.

Can I ask the Elite what the current protocol is when your children marry......who pays for what these days?

I promise this is not for me....I think my two are years away from that but a friend has asked me and I haven't got a clue.

If you have a son, should you offer to contribute to the wedding?

Any advice will be passed on:)

    Off for a catch up

    Hey....it's been red hot today:T:T

I think that the idea that the female's parents pay is no longer the norm. Most couple appear to pay the majority themselves with some help from both parents. :D:D:D:D

We once came back from a fortnights holiday to find a little puddle of water on the kitchen floor. There were no water pipes above or below. We never ever got to the bottom of it but talked about it for ages afterwards trying to figure it out.:rotfl:

    That is spooky. :eek::eek::eek:

Thanks, so it's points per £ spent then. Weird how they lost one point off yours.

Mine were awarded early too - they showed up on my page before I even collected the box, but on checking, yes it is the day before the order.... how strange.

I shan't raise it with them, it's only 40p and I prefer to keep under the radar. I'll see what happens with my second order... :D

We have no plans in place either TS to be honest. What will be will be.....my friend is happy to contribute to her sons wedding but knows that her daughters in laws won't be offering the same gesture. Difficult.

It is a difficult time especially if it is a case of can pay, but won't pay.

I would like to think that when (if) our kids marry, that we do somethings that are special, like Zippy paying for the dress...
