Morning all - rubbish collection day and got a fright as skated on a huge slug and nearly lost my footing  where have they all come from, some of them are huge. Yuk!

Glad your mouth is a little less painful Emerald - still not nice knowing that you still need further treatment to get rid of it completely. My Dentist reckons that the possibility of growing your own teeth back will be very real within 5 years and drills as we know them will be defunct. So hopefully when your dentist says " this is not going to hurt" it won't :)

    Have a good one x

Thank you Rockingham. He said lots of people walk around with bits of root in them which is ok but it could cause an abscess.

I remember you saying about your customers dog bubbs. Yes they told me about £3000 for a scan  I've not got any of mine insured due to their age when I adopted them, plus Berry Bear and Millie both had serious existing health issues which wouldn't have been covered. However one of my Rommie fundraising friends has told me about E&L Insurance and I did a quote, start at £16.50 a month up to £24 a month, despite their age, depending on cover, BUT of course would not include any existing health problems. This may be of use to someone else who has older dogs not insured, or anyone looking for pet insurance

Anyway, off to bed now, to read my book, as I've got back into reading in last week or two

    Night Night Elite :D

Hope you manage to get something sorted for Millie .

Re E&L insurance. We have to use them for Hearing dogs and is £30 a month. But its the same charge for all dogs, whatever age (not sure if it applies when the hearing dog retires at age 11 though). Havent had to use them yet, so don't know what they are like with claims.

    Morning all

I've just finished my first year with TSB - how time flies when you are having such fun :rotfl:

My monthly saver matured overnight with a magnificent £81.34 in interest :j.

I thought it was going to be a long job sorting it all out this morning involving ringing TSB and going through security etc but it was very easy, almost instant and all done online.
My old monthly saver transferring into an easy saver overnight so I transferred the balance back to the total current account.
I then started a brand new shiny monthly saver and I did the new standing order from the current - remembering to cancel the old standing order.
so the new monthly saver with the sadly reduced rate of 2% gross instead of 5% is up and running and gets its first amount tomorrow.

the balance from the old monthly saver I might just find a one year bond for, thinking that maybe September 2017 it will pay for a big builders invoice or a holiday final payment or both - if there are one year bonds out there anywhere with more than 1% interest :(

I've seen a very nice mid week stay on Groupon this morning - just waiting for a discount code to appear now - so that will take care of the £81.34 :D

    morning all

if anyone sees in one of the sales a nice sofa throw suitable for a 2 seater sofa please can you let me know - very cheap

Errant son picked up a bookcase and 2 coffee tables and a sofa from a chap on Freecycle who was leaving the country - yes, isn't that brilliant to get so many bits from one person. The chap had a van hired so he gave him £20 for delivery everything

the sofa is a bland grey colour and he seems to have 3 flat cushions so it needs a bit of cheering up

    thanks in advance :)

:) IKEA have some lovely speckled throws that wash well. £4 each ish?
