Ok, washing pile nearly clear!!! Woohoo! First time in six weeks. I'm doing my funky thang in celebration.

All rooms have clear floors (except Owen's) and the place is looking good. I need to do a de-clutter though. I can feel THINGS all around me. I'm so weak, I love buying STUFF! I never use it, don't need it, but buy it because it's pretty or novel. I feel an ebay marathon coming on.

Can't wait to hear from Jill. I know how you lot felt while I was in labour now - it's so exciting!!!

wow!!! Jill in labour, any news yet????

Been to work yesterday and today and as a result my house is a tip. folded washing on the table, living room covered in doghair, coffee table full of bits and pieces, beds not made, washing in all the rooms.. arhhhhhh

On the nice side, I was headhunted today... I work on supply in the office of a High School but also have been working as a classroom assistant for children with special needs (autism mostly) I was asked to work in the autistic base instead of the office last week and now they want to steal me away from the office altogether!! But I had already promised the office ladies I would work for them for the next couple of months.... Nice to be wanted though

Pigpen, hope you have [STRIKE]whipped[/STRIKE] motivated our flyfriends into action today.. I am going to do a half hour challenge and maybe then I feel less quilty for leaving the house for aquafit.. Starting.... NOW!
  • Evening, no news on Jill then? I'll be joining the Page Refreshers most of this evening!
A ridiculously early start to my day - Rach, I was getting up just as you were going to bed (get an early night tonight!) I shouldn't have bothered though I was waking every hour incase I missed my 4.30 alarm and dreaming all night. Got the folks off at the airport though and managed another couple of hours before I went to work late. Did put the WM on before I went though.

Hi LJD, you really have had the gremlins in haven't you. Glad things are on the up now. Welcome back!
Tracyg, hugs to you, hope you get some grown up company soon. I'm not good at being sociable with new folks but in a new area no-one knows that so just bluff for a bit!

Off to start the bedroom, which isn't too dire, I really do want to go through the wardrobe though and since it's on the list (ta Pigpen) I will obey.

Oh, I expect I'll have some enforced leave soon too; more Foot & Mouth = no work again

    See you when I update!

  • evening all,
its finally hit me, the getting up at 5.30 to go to work doing a 13hr day at work....
I did phone and book the chimney sweep so thats 1 thing off the list. But im going to go find my bed and sleep in it (not strip it!) and get a decent nights sleep as i have to be up at 6am to drive to London .
I picked up the hire car this eve :D chrysler grand voyager, its a tank!!! I was meant to be driving 7 of us from work to this conference (one hell of a lot cheaper than the train tickets) but with illness, things coming up and the threat of me driving (its not bad driving, but put it this way i learnt to drive on the race track....) there are now only 3 of us going. I have no idea what all the buttons do but hey that will be fun tomorrow!!

So im going to go to bed.
Night all and Jill i hope you have a good night where ever you are.....

Evening everyone! Trust me to miss out on all of the excitement! lol Still, at least I wasn't sitting and refreshing all day, as I know I would have been if I'd been home. Fingers crossed that everything has gone well for Jill, and that there is a new flybaby in our midst.

Am off to make the dinner, as I'm really hungry, but I couldn't get up until I'd caught up with the thread, incase there was any news on Jill. Having Fishfingers with cheese sauce, potato wedges and baked beans - yummy comfort food, cos it's quick, and might warm me up - it's been really cold here all day, so looks like it is definately autumn now. Little monster (Ebony 3 legs) has just come through the catflap, so best go and see if he wants some more food too.

Will try to get online after dinner, cos I'm dying to know if there's been any news, and I hate being the last to know.

PS It's nice to see you back LJD1
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Got the bedroom vacc'd and the bedding changed and washed and a quick scoot about with a damp cloth and that's about it. Oh, and i did the window. Don't know what happened to the evening but I've just got time to get some fud before Heroes starts. Not enough hours in the day. (Well there is but I seem to waste most of them!)
Not remotely tired so I think I'll be about later to see if there's any news.
