The ratties are doing great, thought it's a big crazy with 8 cages. We ended up taking 53 adults and 3 litters (1 which was about 24 hours old) from where they were. Due to the conditions they were in, and the fact that the mother wanted them all gone (she was at risk of being kicked out of her council house) we ended up taking all but 3 of the boys which they wanted to keep, which was more than was intended. Thankfully there is a very good animal rescue place in Croydon who offered to take quite a few of them, including the 3 litters. Various other ones have now found new homes or have gone to foster homes. I'm keeping 4 of the boys as I was intending on getting 3 more boys anyway.

I've been in and out of the vets today as last week one of the boys managed to castrate himself, bit of a shock seeing his insides hanging out, or more likely had a bit of a hand from the bully. Today he went back for a checkup and the bully went in to be castrated as he's far too hormonal and it usually calms them down.

I also have 1 litter of 7 here, there was another litter but that has now gone to a new foster home due to hopefully help out with another litter where the baby is having problems feeding from mum. Oh, and there's 2 more girls who are definately pregnant, so I guess soon I'll have 2 more litters.

I've turned the ex's study into a rat room !!

Right, time for a 30 minute challenge for me and see how much I can get done.

Evening all , never did get back to the flying today, forgot it was swimming lessons for DS3 and with OH back working in London I have the pleasure of all three kids on the swimming run.

Going to have an early night as I am tired and then will be full of beans to play catch up tomorrow! I might be switching Wednesday and Thursday as bathroom really needs doing and I like to get all of downstairs done before starting the bedrooms - will see how I feel tomorrow - goodnight all

Just checking in... haven't done much today, felt really eugh this morning so went back to bed for a while... Put TV onto new pine unit from little bruv - got DD's to help lift it on - just gotta sort through CD's/DVD's and only put back decent stuff, rest can go for ebay/weekend boot sale.
Typed work letters this evening, took letter to council about gas pipe on my land (buying house & suddenly discovered can't extend cos of it, so asking for revaluation), and stopped at Mr T's on way home (at 9pm!) to get cake/flowers for friend's birthday tomorrow. So am going to Kent for the day to visit & lunch, so no flying... Thursday will be fly day for me as long as I feel up to it.

Am feeling slightly sheepish for having joined up & not done much since Saturday while reading about how well all of you are doing!!

Today i have done endless dailies.beaten bathroom into submission.scrubbed walls and woodwork in hall till it shines.living rm ok as oh hoovered in there last night
doubt there will be flying from me tom as got osteopath at 10 and felt very rough last week after I'd been.

Oh no

after a good start yesterday I havn't done a thing today. Had my bf come over and visit for a while and that stopped me from doing anything. Its now after 10 and I am chuffin knackered after a long day at work.

Please can I be excused from the following today? I promise I will catch up tomorrow I did hoover the floors in the living room and hall last night so at least I have knocked a wee bit off.

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 1
Vacuum floors and sofas
Level 2
Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Level 3
Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! I once found a half sucked lolly in my pocket that had been there for 5 months!!
Extra Mission
Pick one or more of the following tasks

• Clear one hotspot, or just spend at least 5 minutes tackling it
• Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
• Clean the fluff from the fire.. not while it is on!! Don’t forget to arrange for it to be serviced before winter sets in if you have a gas fire!! Or chimneys swept for real fires! Central heating boilers etc need servicing too!
• Wash a pair of curtains, or some nets or a throw from a chair or bed
• Those up for the 30 minute ironing challenge per day.. that’s on your list too!!

Just to let you know have just upset DH. Told him I was off to S & S the kitchen - he with big grin on face thought his luck was in!! No doubt will soon catch on to the new lingo on here.
