  • Morning quick pop in,

I promise I'll be back at work soon then won't have as much time to babble!

Massive cleaning list wrote for the next few days while the kids are at the childminder. I've decided to go on an eBay mission too. I want to make £110 to cover the speeding ticket and eBay fees! Just found a £10 iTunes card we've had hanging around since Christmas so that's gone on then when I sort bit out I'll pop them on.

Few bits needed from the shops but I'm going to message DP to grab them after work as I can not be trusted!

Other than that nice lazy day in with the boys. We'll go splash in the puddles later and have a walk once the rain stops.

  • Busy few days sorting bits and bobs while the boys are gone. I've got three massive bags full of baby clothes, curtains sorted and about to go and tackle the rest of the wardrobes. Thinking of doing a car boot next Sunday when DP is off work. Does anyone know if clothes sell well? I ideally just need it all gone in one day so don't want to waste a Sunday of that sort of stuff won't tell. X

  • Just seen q uidco bave £13 cashback on any dominos order over £10 so I've signed up with dp's email and we'll have a cheeky treat tonight after all the hard work. We collect as they don't deliver to our house and they do really good collection deals we both get a £5.99 pizza each so just £11.98 then he stash away a couple of bottle of Aldi Coke for when we have take aways and just pop one in the fridge in the morning. I never thought I'd like cheap Coke but grabbed a bottle a few months back just to see and it's actually quite good. It's the Aldi Pepsi max version. 59p for a big bottle we were both so surprised.

Right I'd best stop putting of my wardrobe missions! Xx

  • Omg big news!!!! DP's mum just called him and has sent him £8000!!!!!! She has just retired from the NHS and got a big pay out!!!!! DP is at work still. I'm in shock! Still only 50% where we need to be mortgage wise I think but I feel so much pressure lifted already!!! I hope this feeling doesn't last too long though as I need to knuckle down and save another £10000!!!! I feel like we've won the lottery!!! It will all be tucked away and trickle feed into our help to buy isa's! Eeeek

Right back to reality £20 spent today £10 on lunch and £10 on a 6 week pass to soft play so that should kee us entertained for a while.

£35 made from eBay so far item posted this morning. Still need to talk to my mum about the car boot Sunday.

Eeeeek right best go entertain and feed the boys x

What an awesome day! Congratulations!! I'd love to think I can help my kids out like that one day.

Thinking about the baby clothes - let me know if you're anywhere near Lancashire as we're after a bundle of boys newborn, 0-3, and 3-6 month stuff if you've any of those I'll quite happily buy them off you! x

  • Thank you Debbie. Having a beer and freezer pizza to celebrate.

I'm Lincolnshire in afraid. I'd guess the postage would cost more than the clothes there is masses of them. X

  • Ok so now that's settled in properly and we've had a good hat last night about it we're going to view a couple of new build sites to see what's on offer on the help to buy 5% deposit. We don't want a property in the town so have two locations we're interested in small up and coming villages. I've taken the £900 owed to the boys savings account off my debt and have changed their saving to an emergency fund. It will benefit them a lot more us having our own property than a bit of money sitting in an account as for now then once we see the property ladder and aren't having to pay rent and save we can start their savings up again.
