NIM has a Tesco credit card, so maybe somehow, but I don't think we had that credit card when I was still that name if that makes any sense. We've also not spent on any card in over a year. We do almost all our food shopping in Tesco (one Ocado order a month as we have 2 people in the house allergic to dairy, and they have a lot more options than the physical supermarkets).

So tier 3 is confirmed for 9 of my 11 venues, the 2 that can open are small scale, but I'm going to see if there is any way we can grow them (and hope to hell they don't enter tier 3 before January).

  • Tesco used to give club card points on certain energy providers. Could it be from there?
    Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

I don't think so, I change energy providers more often than most people get haircuts.

Thanks, it really is. It's been a long 6 years from redundant to building up to where I am now, but I love what we have now, and not working is now miserable where once I'd have willingly broken my leg if it could guarantee me a few weeks off work.
    1. Reply to webby
    2. Manual upload to printful About 20% there, it's a long process to do each one individually
    3. Submit medicash claim for largest's glasses
    4. Wrap 15 presents
    5. Apply for council grant
    6. Apply for franchise programme
    7. Parcel up parcels for Amazon and clothes return
Don't know why that's not quoted but anyway. Yesterdays list. I spent the morning dithering and not doing much as I was just chewing on about the tier announcement, so wasted half the day. So today is just to finish what I started really.

The franchise programme has been a big goal of mine for a while, and I really hope I get accepted as that's my goal for the company. They only run one intake of 6 people a year, and I knew I couldn't save the fee by January so was going to need to wait until January 2022. January is also a really bad time for me to start anything big, as it's our busiest time of the year. But they announced yesterday for next year only they're doing a July date, as a few of their January starters have had to drop out due to covid financial constraints, so that's perfect for me. It's also going up in price 20% for 2022 start compared to 2021 prices, so I'm seizing the day and have put in an application for a place.

Kids look like they're neglected at school this morning, despite me actually putting in extra effort. Biggest has sensory processing, and I washed and brushed her hair last night after the bath, plaited it so it didn't get knotty overnight, this morning she won't let me anywhere near her hair to brush it for school, so she's gone to school looking like a haystack with a little plait sticking out the back. Littlest looked very smart and ready nice and early, but was very cold, so I made him a hot chocolate in a travel cup for the walk to school. Get to school and discover the travel cup has a leak on the rim he's not mentioned, collar of his shirt is covered (and it's a real shirt at his school and a nightmare to wash), his tie is brown and sodden, his knitted jumper has sort of absorbed the leak around the top and is all stretched out of shape and wet and heavy, and it's even run inside the shirt for interesting patterns all the way down to his trousers. His teacher was in creases at the state of him when he took off his coat, and all he had to say was 'I'm not cold anymore though!'.

    So today's goals

The other goal I guess is not to be swayed by Black Friday emails. I've started wrapping presents as I've been buying for 6 months, and at this stage have no clue what we have, or if there is the same number of gifts for each child. I do know I need some stocking fillers though, so if there is a stocking filler type site with a blanket 20% off or something today that's what I will let myself by taken in by.

Unlike yesterday I didn't faff about today, but that's just how long it took to finish all the printful uploads. I do now have over 100 items live on Etsy, so I'm a little bit hopeful of a few sales before Christmas.

I did avoid almost all black friday sales though, spent around £20 on some graphic stock files that were much reduced so I can do more varied designs, but since last year I spent over £2000 I'm considering that a win.

Morning all. Hope your Monday is brighter than mine, cold, grey and wet here.

Decent weekend, mum had a big 0 birthday, so my brother and I got all the friends and family from around the world onto zoom to sing to her and wish her well, which she loved. I then went over later and stood at the bottom of the drive while she opened her presents, and gave her some flowers and an afternoon tea for home and that sort of thing. She had a great day from all she said, even if we couldn't go out as usual.

Sold my first tshirt on redbubble over the weekend, so that was exciting. I'm looking at this very much as a minimal effort background income source, rather than being something I need to put a lot of time into unless I want to (I enjoy doing the designs for example, but my past experience with printing is that it's a bit of a snowball, and it'll grow itself over time)

Also had a holiday booking cancelled, this was a UK cottage we were meant to go to this year, but pushed it back to 2021, but now they've cancelled. At least AirBnB have already refunded the money, so that'll arrive in the next day or two, and is very welcome at the moment while I can't work.

We did get a reply back from Alton Towers, and they're rolling our annual passes to next year, which is great.

Mondays are always busy days, today I'm struggling to get started a little as I'm waiting to find out if I'm meeting a friend, we confirmed last night but not a location, it seems unlikely to go ahead at this point as she needs to pick her youngest up from nursery at 11.30, but I'm just killing time rather than really starting anything until I know that.

    My plans for today are:
    1. Reply to texts and fb inboxes
    2. Advertise kids sessions for Dec
    3. Fix family session for January
    4. Reply to webby
    5. Parcel up returns
    6. Make Christmas timetable for kids
    7. Starred messages
    8. 5x soy
    9. 2x edit and post yoga classes
    10. Apply for council grant
    11. Investigate if other boroughs we work under have a grant
    12. Plan tonights class
    13. Finish redbubble adjustments
    14. Make the company gift guide
    15. Find the last totals so I can finish updating my signature
I won't get them all done unless someone puts extra hours into my day, but at least I have a goal to work towards.

£6.46 sent from Amazon (old books etc I sent in for their second hand stuff sales) is pretty much my only money tally today.

My list got longer. But I have found a friend who is an accountant willing to come help me with the accounts in exchange for beer. So that's a relief as I hate accounts and avoid them like they may kill me.

Hope your mum had a good birthday Dinah, is so hard not being able to celebrate the way you normally would.
Congrats on the t shirt sale, seems like you have lots of good ways of adding extra income.
I only do two survey sites now as they seem to be the ones i do OK from and logged into one this morning and i won £5 on the Nov draw, that is a little extra in the Christmas present pot.

Grats on the £5 win Wendz. Always nice to get a little bonus.

Woke up to my first sale on Teepublic, so that's something. It's only $2 per sale, so there are definitely other markets I'm better focusing on, but at least once designs are uploaded I do absolutely nothing else so it's fulfilling my requirements for passive income.

Finally meeting my friend for a walk this morning, so a bit less work time today. I have however gone to bed at 10pm the last two nights and watched netflix with NIM (it's been years since we watched a series together) but he is planning an early night tonight, so I'll be able to get a bit more done tonight.

    My plans for today are:
    1. Reply to texts
    2. Mailchimp and facebook main page kids sessions for Dec
    3. Parcel up returns
    4. Wrap remaining Christmas presents
    5. Starred messages
    6. 8x podcast edit and post
    7. 3x edit and post yoga classes
    8. Apply for council grant
    9. Investigate if other boroughs we work under have a grant
    10. Finish redbubble adjustments
    11. Make the company gift guide
    12. Find the last totals so I can finish updating my signature
    13. Put together all receipts etc for tomorrow's meeting
I won't get the 3 below done today, but I can find all the bits ready for the meeting, then hopefully I'll have all 3 done tomorrow when I meet my accountant friend.
