What a rude thing to message someone asking for help! I'm free most Thursdays/Fridays so I would some help but I fear with an Oscar in tow (a very grabby, can't trust to play nicely, Oscar at that) we'd cause chaos more than anything!

Surprises me no one would want to help too.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was pretty quiet but didn't spend too much which is good.

What an odd, rude, message! Even if they thought it was too much effort, why even say so?? Nothing wrong with wanting to get rid of the clutter and earn a few quid whilst doing it!

Our weekend was pretty quiet here too, Wendz. We did spend a bit yesterday as Zach and DH needed new shoes but we didn't end up in an expensive restaurant for lunch when we were out at the shops which evened it out a bit! Baby steps and all! ;) We watched Back to the Future II & III yesterday afternoon (watched the first one on Saturday night, 'cos we're cool like that! ) and Zach was hooked. I've never seen him sit so still and be so engrossed in a movie, never mind 2 in a row! The boy has good taste! :D

How's it going being back at work Cinny? :)

Mine was cheapish too. We went to the kids cinema on Saturday which was £3.60 for all 3 of us, to see Finding Dory which there is a very real choice we'll go see again this weekend :rotfl:

It's still weird! I had an unexpected day off yesterday as I'm so caught up in my own little bubble that I completely forgot that my mum was in France over the weekend

Did really well yesterday, went to Sainsbury's and had a look at the toy sale. Oscar lost his mind over a Bing telephone (£7.50) a puppy remote (£6.66) and a Vtech knight (£6.66) and despite them being cheap I was an even cheaper mother and walked away with nothing. Plus as soon as I turned the corner, I looked down and saw he'd grabbed at the trolley chain and had started chewing on it _pale_

Hope things are going well, Dinah!

ETA: Forgot to say, that's so cute Zach was into Back to the Future. Didn't you dress him up at Marty last year? I've got it in my head you did anyways!

Good memory Cinny, we did indeed have him dressed as Marty last year! Just for fun, because we're mean like that, and it was the date that he travelled to the future!

Your girls have good taste with their love of Tangled Wendz! It's my favourite, I'm always offering to put it on for Zach. He loves the frying pan scenes and when Mother Gothel falls out of the tower. I'm a bit concerned about that TBH. He also has a new love for Frozen, or 'lettittgo' as he calls it! He may have a Kristoff costume for Halloween...

Good resolve there Cinny! MIL (who is a soft touch and will buy Zach whatever he wants) has always had a rule with Zach when he would pick toys up and give her the puppy eyes, she'd walk around the shop and if he held onto it she'd buy it, if he dropped it or start carrying on about something else, she'd put it back. Surprisingly few toys pass that test! Although we tried it the other week in Home Bargains with a couple of Zootopia figures and he held on so hard we struggled to get him to hand them over to the cashier! They were only £1.99 though so not too bad! :)

I thought that's what it was for, he (of course) looked adorable from what I remember!

I saw that Kristoff costume I wanted to get it for Oscar, but he's far too tiny for it. We have 3 Halloween things planned and only have that pumpkin sweat vest your MIL knitted, Birdie. Going to have to pray we don't get food or excess drool on it!

That's a good way to do it. My Mum loves buying Oscar things, which she mostly keeps at hers so I don't mind at all bar thinking my toys for him are incredibly boring in comparison.

ETA: Bit out of no where but has anyone made the "cookie in a jar" or similar jar gifts for Christmas? I've seen a few I want to make but have no idea how long they're good for once they're in a jar? I'm presuming that they're good until the ingredients best-by date but you know what they say when you assume!

Poppy had a particular fondness for the bit in the little mermaid where he drives the boat through ursulas heart :rotfl:. slightly concerning.

Oh my goodness a Kristoff costume will be too cute!!

I'm a softy for buying Poppy little things when in shops. When she is 6 I'm going to do pocket money for her and she has to buy her little bits out of that.

Oscar laughs when other kids start crying - he finds it genuinely hilarious unless it's coming from the one friend he's managed to secure. I'm not earth-mama enough to break the clique at the mums meet up I go to, so Oscar's only been able to make friends with the baby of the other outsider mum :o

Sure it's just a kids thing! I used to love everything Ursula in the Little Mermaid. I wanted her to get Eric and fool them all forever :rotfl:

The Kristoff costume is actually DH's idea of a punishment as Zach was playing up massively last week for him so instead of buying a 'cool' costume, which he'd normally do, he went for the embarrassingly cute option to torture him with when he's older! I'm not complaining. :p

Looking forward to seeing Oscar in the pumpkin tank top! :)

I'm trying to think if I had any odd love of the baddies when I was little and I don't think I did TBH. I'm just surrounded by weirdos it would seem! :rotfl:

Cinny, I remember the struggle to get into the cliques all too well! I managed to secure a couple of mates and we had our own gang and claimed we were the cool ones but the reality was that we were definitely the outsiders... I can't wait until the fun at the school gate begins! :o

Never done a cookie in a jar gift, I'd imagine it would be the BB date but make sure it's really well sealed?
