    Evening diary,

Thanks for the tips re equifax everyone. I did mean to cancel it and I didn't use it for a good few months, but then turns out I need to call them to cancel and I keep forgetting during the day.
I probably should cancel it though.

Reality you are definately a bad influence, I've spent most of the evening reading your diary!

Managed to make a payment of £20.37 today, that's £40 toward my £500 savings (10%) and the total paid off my debts is £1,042.94!

Husky thanks for the survey I will look tomorrow, how did the house valuation go?

That's fantastic news! Much better then you were expecting right?
I will PM you later (had a nightmare with the school again today)
But I don't think I can help you prioritise what to do now, I can barely get myself on track lol :rotfl:

    Evening diary!

Another rubbish day, with lots of 'heated' discussions with the school regarding a suitable consequence for the child bullying my son.
Breakthrough today they have at least admitted now that my son coming home covered in bruises made by the same boy 4 times in 8!months combined with the daily name calling and taunting etc is actually bullying and not just playground squabbles.
Now I'm waiting for them to call me back with what rheumatologist tondo about it.

Put a tiny £1.28 towards my £500 savings pot. I need to call vanquis and see what payments I need to make this month to keep that card under the limit (vicious cycle I spent too near the limit, then the interest pushed me over, then the min payment I made before didn't cover it so they charged me again etc etc etc ) I will call them tomorrow as offices are shut now.

Have just completed my first pine cone survey. I also need to sign up for some of the others recommended here and do a tally of my points as I haven't done this for a number of days.

We started doing a weekly gas and electric meter reading but I can't update it on the power website grr. It's interesting as we've only used 5 'units' of gas in a week, but 146 'units' of electricity.
I'm not sure what the proper measurements are so i will stick to units lol!
I'm not sure what this means in real terms, apart from the obvious that we use far more electric then gas (obviously!)
I guess it's cos with the warm weather the hearings not going on, and I am having showers rather than baths so I expect it to be low.
I am going to see if I can work out how much electric a household my size should be using to see if we are about average. DH is addicted to using the tumble dryer and is home all day so I'm guessing it's high in comparison.

Today one of the new girls in the team made a comment about my grey hair!:(:(
I'm only 32 and I know it's bad, I'm cross that she mentioned it, so will have a chat to her tomorrow about whether she thinks it's appropriate or not (I am her boss fgs) but I can't be hard on her as through keeping this diary I know it's the 2nd time this week someone has commented on my appearance in a negative manner, and as much as I'd love to say it shouldn't matter realistically I work in an office full of motivated dynamic people and appearance is important.

So I am going to try to make more of an effort.
It's my birthday on Saturday and I was going to ask for cash to pay off the credit cards (well pay towards them) but instead I am going to ask for a new nail varnish, a Footner, and a boots / super drug gift card so I can treat myself to some new (albeit cheap lol) makeup.
I could do with a haircut too (it's been over a year if I'm honest  but that will need to wait till July payday.

Right off to count up my survey totals and have a shower then watch a bit of TV... My life is awesome!!! :rotfl:

Have also decided to set myself a challenge to have at least paid off £1000 by the end of the year. This is much slower then I originally wanted, at roughly £200 a month and I wanted to pay off between £500 and £1000 but I am going to look at it as minimum £200 and aim for £500.

I need to work out a plan of how I am going to do this... If anyone reading has got any thoughts is love to hear them x

  • Sorry that's my phone getting over excited and sending prematurely. I meant to say maybe the girl in your team was nervous and went home and fretted over it. I would still mention it tho. I hate the whole spending money to look good at work, its so annoying and competitive and silly. Your office sounds like mine I think!

Yes PSL I read your diary the other day and was thinking the same thing.
High level business directors and executives on 80-90k plus walking round with a begging bowl for us to sponsor them, and fresh faced uni grads with a lovely allowance from the bank of mum and dad to top up their wages lol
