:jEvening diary, today is day 3 of my diary, 5 days till payday! :j
Been a busy day we had some interviews at work today, (I'm on the recruiting panel) is a strange feeling to know that the candidates are looking at me like I have it all together - hiring manager at their dream company - when in reality it's all a show and I'm poorer then a church mouse!
Mustn't let it get me down, I'm rich in love as my Nan used to say! Also that's the point of this diary, to get my life 'on track'
Father's Day on Sunday, I found a card for DH in my spare drawer earlier, so that will save me going to the shops. We've always sent cards to my dad, step dad and fil from us and the kids. So this year as things are tight I've got DS to make 3 which I will send in the post at work. That has saved me at least £5 on stamps and cards.
I've made a pad of £2.45 to my emergency fund today and as mentioned I've maxed out the available surveys on one poll.
I was thinking earlier that I would like to pay between £500 and £1000 a month off the debts. At the moment with only one wage coming in this is impossible. I definately need a better plan. I'm hoping DH will go back to work in September when DD starts nursery. I need to remember that what it saves us in nursery costs at the moment makes up for the loss of a full time wage coming in. When he goes back £500 is totally doable.
My main issue is that I've missed a few min payments I've the last year, so rule number 1 is NEVER to miss another.
Total debts:
Lloyds cc- £615
Vanquis - £300
My jar - £300
Lloyds loan (currently with moorcroft debt collector) £11000
My jar is being paid £163 a month so will be clear end of July
Lloyds cc min payment £37 a month
Vanquis min payments £20 a month
Loan min payment £15 a month
The interest rate in the my jar loan is extortionate so if I can clear that quicker I will. I can afford the £163 so as long as it gets paid I'm ok. I definately can't mess up on that payment. (Not that I'm ever missing another min payment ever again)Staring debt - June 2013 - £21,000

Hey,
I've just set up my diary so thought I'd check out a few new ones for inspiration. Sounds like you have plan...roll on pay day.
Sounds like the survey sites are really paying off is it time consuming? I'll have to get involved.
