Couldnt log on yesterday for some reason!

    Total Steps: 7,731

    1. Take off shoes - 4/28
    2. Make bed - 9/28
    3. Wipe down kitchen counters - 7/28
    4. Clean as you cook - 6/28
    5. Wipe down shower - 2/28
    6. Sweep floors - 4/28
    7. Wipe mirrors and sinks - 2/28
    8. Put clothes away - 5/28
    9. 2 minute rule (basically if a job will only take 2 mins then just do it now, not later!) another day where I spent most of the evening reading a book!

    Feb savings: 25/494
    eBay sales: 99p
    Total feb Asda receipts: £2.04
    Feb NSD: 1/28

Pouring with rain all day yesterday so no morning or evening walk. Rain stopped about 9pm. Far too late and dark to go walking at that time.

Should have a few eBay sales this week, items due to end on different days. I am looking forward to updating the total figures.
No plans to go out today, going to make a real effort to sort / tidy the house.
Should be a NSD which is good (and needed) this week before payday seems to mess me up every month!

    9. 2 minute rule (basically if a job will only take 2 mins then just do it now, not later!) The loft is clear!

Well the loft is clear, but the house is a state. Took all day to do the loft (10 years of stuff! I am actually surprised we got it all done in a day!)
Im counting yesterday as a NSD although DH did spend some money. He went to the shop on his last trip back from the dump, brought himself a drink and a scratchcard and won £150! So he went online and found a pizza hut deal and we had a lovely Pizza Hut dinner.

Plan for today: clean the house now the loft is clear!

:rotfl: have you been reading?!?! :rotfl:

Of course no money back  but to be honest I figured as it was ‘fun’ money he spent and he has used the winnings for treats then there is very little point staying mad with him. And after a hard day sorting through all the boxes etc it was a lovely meal!

  • Some people need the little wins to keep on with it all.

And you are a bigger person than me, I hold a grudge forever :D

Not been posting much this week, I haven't forgotten my mse ways, just been busy with half term.
So, after DH blew the 'fun' money on shopping just before half term and then won some back (which is now a distant memory - surprise surprise) half term has been (as predicted) quiet.

DD has been on 2 play dates and I've had DS's friend here every day since they broke up. Happily this means low budget, and weirdly this is the first school holiday in years where the kids have just entertained themselves mostly. Feels weird to me, but they have enjoyed themselves.

Have got a lot of housework done and managed to list 88 items on eBay. Thought I would take full advantage of the months free listing offer!
I have sold 6 items so far and made £24.68 - not a fortune but not bad. I always think eBay is a bit weird sometimes. The stuff that I thought would go (some clothes etc) went unsold but I have sold a Sainsbury's Lego card, and an old pencil case - both of which were headed for the bin, before I thought I would list them just to see what happened as the listings are free.

Got a hair appointment booked for next Tuesday after work, that will cost £70 for a cut and blow dry, but it's not been done since October so needs doing badly.
Got about £80 left till payday Tuesday, should be fine as long as I don't let DH go shopping!

So far of my monthly habits the only one to really stick is the make bed in the morning. I must admit I got up this morning and thought 'nah I can't be bothered' got halfway downstairs and couldn't shake the feeling something was up - so went back and did it. Felt much better after.

Right, going to have a small glass of wine then head up to bed - night

  • Trying the bedmaking habit. I am still trying with my shoes but it isn't really sticking.

My half term has also been quiet, mainly because I have been working, but also because of the big birthday weekend at the beginning.

  • Morning diary,

Back to work and school today... 2 very grumpy children this morning!
I have really enjoyed my week off, although wouldn't complain if I could have another lol! Am looking forward to a bit of normality and routine though.

Yesterday I had to pay the accommodation for my friends hen night. That has cost £500 eek!
Luckily I will get £450 back from the other hens this month but it has made a big dent in my savings. Was nice not to have to put it on a credit card though. And for £50 each it is a bargain so if I had not booked it now then would have cost a lot more nearer the time!

    Roll on Payday tomorrow...
