My debt free diary - getting my life on track

Aw thanks guys! I feel like a super hero right now!
Drawing - That's a shame about your old job? Could you not use your qualifications to get a similar role in a different company? (sorry if that sounds nosey)
I would never be brave enough to go self employed so am full of admiration for you about that. I rely too heavily on my annual salary.
I think the simplest way of me solving this solution is to tell my Manager that I would like a completely new challenge in a different team. But that's not what I want to do which is a shame. Luckily its a massive global company so theres lots of departments and opportunities. Might have a think.
Im off to update my signature with my new totals... Taking of signatures, Coffee has yours changed? Will have a wander over to your diary and have a read of whats going on.Staring debt - June 2013 - £21,000

eBay sale today! 99p for a CD. Not a lot but it is more than the 1p that music magpie offered!
Managed to list a few more items. Fingers crossed they sell.
Also had a look at the debt free wannabe challenges. I really like the look of the 1% challenge so have posted in that. My 1% is £114. It is a lot, but I love the idea behind only being 100 payments to debt free!

Thanks drawing, he is a good guy and I trust him not to overcharge etc - DH has got quite friendly with him over the last year, so it is just as likely we havent heard back from him as he has prioritised a full paying customer (hes looking at ours for a discount) as it is that we havent heard back yet as there is a problem.
Fingers crossed.Staring debt - June 2013 - £21,000

Wow I am angry right now.
Car passed MOT no problems. Should have cost £35. DH decided (without telling me) to have some cosmetic, ie unnecessary, work done. Actual cost £120.
Then I get pulled out of a meeting at work as he has been ringing the reception line non stop. Why? Because he doesnt have £120 and has promised the mechanic he will pay him this afternoon.
So I run out and give him my card as I dont have time to transfer the money due to being in meeting.
Look at bank balance when meeting ends and can see £120 withdrawn and £70 at morissons!
Then he picks me up from work and tells me we have to back to the shops as he only brought crisps and junk - theres nothing in the house for dinner!
In one afternoon he has single handedly spent more money than I even had budgeted for our whole week off next week. Which will be a crap week now as a) theres no budget left, and b) I can hardly look at him right now.Staring debt - June 2013 - £21,000

Was feeling angry and disheartened yesterday after the whole car / shopping fiasco. But I cant let it get to me. Must soldier on. Will re-do the budget later for next week
We are going to clear out the loft tomorrow and Sunday, so im expecting the house to look worse before it gets better. With any luck I might find some hidden gems for eBay!
I also need to decide if I want to keep £1000 or £500 in my emergency fund and then I can pay a chunk off vanquis. Its a decision I am finding quite hard as at the moment I am really enjoying watching the total of my savings go up. But I know the quicker I pay off the card the quicker I can get back to saving up and paying off the Big loan.Staring debt - June 2013 - £21,000
