We no longer need to start a new thread every time it reaches a set number of posts. Feel free to carry on using this discussion.

    Oh, I'm honoured:o:T.

However looking at the current page of this thread, I notice that the reason is that we don't need to start threads again?!? Unfortunately - these things always happen - I've got to go out for the next few hours and really can't stay (otherwise I will be hitting traffic again) - I'm expected back by 4pm, could be a little later, hopefully it will be a lot sooner - you should see how long it takes to move 8 posts:rotfl: - but I note that although we no longer "need" to start new threads at set posts (maybe I'm reading this too literally?) we can do so if we want to? Do we have to start a new thread immediately or can it wait a few hours whilst, presumably, I come back and a name for the new thread can be decided whilst I'm out?

If you desperately need me to start one right now, I'll do so although I would rather I got on with the rest of what I need to do - otherwise you can chat away for the next few hours amongst yourselves whilst I do my own thing (like what normally happens:rotfl:).

There's no guarantee that I will always be around (I could get run over by a bus!) or that I will keep doing the M list or doing it indefinitely:rotfl:. However, I don't see it ending anytime soon.

Savvy....go out and do your things....a new thread or a decision about it wont have been made in the time you are out.

Its not fair that the few of us that are here at the moment get to rule the way forward...redfox has said we can take a bit of time to come to a decision that the elite can live with going forward

we need to at least wait for tweets to get home from work!!!!!!!!!!

Yes indeed if that's the case. We shouldn't "pull the rug" from under people by moving suddenly whilst they're away. Although I note it's become a tradition of the Elite to move whenever I'm not here:rotfl:. (I'll be here all night expecting a move and then you'll suddenly do one in the day. Or I'll choose a few days off and guess what - I come back 4 days later and you've moved two days before:D:rotfl::T.) Please don't move again without me - we don't need three new threads in a space of a few days:rotfl:. I'm now going out - I'll be back, I very much hope, somewhat before teatime:cool:.

EDIT: Just to clarify I am not saying the rug was pulled from under me earlier in the week and it is not my view that it was - I'm saying that just generally about times months ago and doing so in jest, because when it's just happened to have been done, inevitably it's always (well not actually literally always) been done when I'm not here and it has at times been rather funny. In a sense, we always "pull the rug" from at least someone, as otherwise it would imply that literally everyone who's ever posted on or lurked in relation to one of our threads had to be present whenever a new one was started!

    As if I can read it right now:rotfl:. Thanks - I'm going:wave:!

I do like them changing their 5 pack bananas to 10 - used to be a devil whenever they were 77p and compared elsewhere to much higher:(. At least now at 10 pack they are N/A:j:T. So, it's helping wombles by not losing a few more pence due to a 77p vs £1 or 99p, whatever. I'll have a look at those Nectarines later and see what they're comparing to - and the Peaches and Plums. Trust the peaches on my womble last week to compare against M's Flat Peaches it seems rather than M's Peaches - the ones in A aren't even Flat Peaches.

It looks reasonably easy to set up a poll on a new thread...I think perhaps this could be done as a separate thread on the "its gone..." category that the elite is already in....

you can set up to 10 poll questions so I guess the main one is new thread yes or no

assuming a new thread who should start it.....

assuming a new thread what should it be called....

please feel free to come up with any suggestions you might want to include.

if the new thread option is chosen and it's not Savvy who starts it....then perhaps we must ask that the thread starter gives provision and consideration for his lists to be permanently located in posts 2 onwards for however many he requires.

If MSE have moved servers recently to something with a lot more space then I'm sure they wont mind the elite considering the way forward for probably the next week or so...its not like they or we are going to fill up the new servers anytime soon.

how does that sound guys....and does anyone want to start chucking in a few suggestions to perhaps take forward to a poll thread.

Next week's actually going to be bad for me and M - I've a lot more on, all week, than I usually have - but I will fit around. I may be doing some additional Morries tomorrow or Saturday though or maybe even both days:eek: as those days are free days for me at the moment. I also have Sunday free (lucky me) but obviously that's a less easy day due to early closing time, so doesn't leave chance to visit as many stores. :idea:I suppose I go to Scotland:rotfl: - that might be an idea actually for a future Sunday - although I don't see any chance of me doing so this weekend and don't want to travel all the way there at this time yet. At the moment, it's looking like it may be Saturday out (I could switch it to tomorrow though) as other things I'm now getting done today and they're not being done on Friday or Saturday now. My organised life:rotfl:.

    I'd better go now:rotfl::rotfl::cool::wave:.

Maybe do this poll first, as if the majority vote to leave things as they are, then there will be no need to do the second two polls.:)
