I know the score is kind of useless but it gives a rough idea of how things are. Has anybody else had a score this low? It seems terrible

Scores are not kind of useless, they are useless. If you want some hints of whats wrong with your credit file, you will have to tell us whats on there. Any late payments? Defaults? Are you on electoral roll?0

That score is going to come in handy when you apply for borrowing from Noddle
Seriously, don't concern yourself with the score.
Look at all the data held on your CR.
Make sure any changes of address are correctly displayed, especially if you live in a flat, that moving dates are correct, the accounts you have are showing, no accounts that don't belong to you, no unrecognised alias names, no financial associations that shouldn't be there, along with all the information stated above.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Thanks guys,
Dobbibil - I have looked through all accounts, assassinated addresses etc and everything seems up to date and accurate
Arleen - there are many perfect accounts with perfect payments but there are 2 "bad ones" that will put lenders off - one was a defaulted and partially settled loan with Lloyds tsb (the default date is 1/2/2011 so it will be gone from my credit file in approx 7 months) and the second is a sim only life mobile contract which I disputed and refused to pay so by May 2015 I was 6 months behind and that month it says "settled - debt assigned"0 -
Been on electoral roll for past 9 years and credit file shows that0

You have two defaults so it's no wonder that it's a little low. I'm surprised the mobile phone debt hasn't reappeared under the name of whoever bought it though.0 -
Noddle scores only go up to 700 I think so 551 is not a bad score.0

Yes me too but it's not on there, I did equifax Free trial recently and it wasn't on there either. They didn't make any reall effort to chase to debt up0 -
I don't trust Noddle. Back when I had a loan for a postgraduate course, this loan showed on my Experian report but wasn't even mentioned in Noddle. Noddle gave me a great score, Experian factored in the loan and only gave me an average.0

I don't trust anybody who wants to charge me a fee for a meaningless score which lenders do not see or care about.
Noddle is ok for me - all my credit agreements are on there and I can see who searches me (insurance companies in the main)and its FREE.0
