Got two e-mails telling me that my bills are ready to view online. Guess what - 'we are having technical difficulties'.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Finally I've got my first gas bill from Iresa after 2 1/2 months. Unfortunately, it couldn't be more wrong.
1. They have used an incorrect supply start date.
2. They have used an incorrect start meter reading.
3. Rather than credit the statement with 3 monthly payments, they have used an incorrect credit balance as at 31 December and added one correct monthly credit.
4. They have used the incorrect calorific value (which I was expecting).
Probably, the most inaccurate opening bill that I have ever had. I feel another complaint coming on.
Edit: After sitting down with pencil and paper, the reason for the erroneous bill is simply down to the fact that the 'system' has ignored the first 7 days on my account. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Judging by the comments others have made re timescales I expect this will happen in the next couple of days and I should then receive my final bill from EON to complete the switching process.
Update to the above.
After their system came back online yesterday an Opening Meter Read for electricity appeared in my account however it wasn't the one I provided Iresa with!
It states "Deemed (Settlement Registers) or Estimated (Non-Settlement Registers)" whatever that's supposed to mean?
I then checked my EON account (now closed) and sure enough the final bill was already there waiting for me to download and the final meter reading was estimated meaning the opening meter read I had provided to Iresa had never been passed from Iresa to EON.
The opening meter read on my Iresa account is slightly higher than the one I provided so it actually works out in my favour.
The question is do I raise it as a complaint or leave well alone as it's financially in my favour?
I'm now guessing that on a dual fuel switch if your second meter point isn't set up it's because Iresa are either incompetent, trying to cut corners, cut down workload or just couldn't be bothered doing it and it's likely that you will end up with an estimated opening read from your previous supplier.brewerdave wrote: »Beginning to worry a bit - glad I've only switched leccy to Iresa:(
With good reason and if my experience so far is anything to go by Iresa are going to need watching very closely.0 -
Switched from Eon to Iresa on 5th February saving me approx £260 pa, my account was set up on the 19th and they're taking the first DD on the 23rd.
So far so good. Hope I don't experience the same problems as others with my meter readings etc, though I can live with a few if I'm going to save a few hundred quid.
I would've liked to have stayed with Eon again for another year but I'm afraid they couldn't offer a loyal customer a similar or better deal this time.0 -

Iresa has a very confusing Transactions Section. As far as your opening reading is concerned, then just check that Iresa is using the same reading for opening your supply as the previous supplier used for closing it. Estimated usually means that it has been adjusted by the Data Collectors during their verification process.
The issue that I now have with Iresa is that they have got themselves so 'cofuddled' over the opening reading that they have billed me for gas from the 12th December rather than the 5th and used an estimated meter reading and false credit balance. The difference is covered in one of the many transactions on my account. I have asked for the bill to be corrected as I want to be re-imbursed for the full CV error not just part of it. A quick check of my statement shows that I have been overcharged for 66kWhs.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. A lot of the comments on here seem to be about the time taken to change and meter readings not updating on their website quickly. I remember the change over feeling slow but I left them to get on with it. I don't really follow the online readings but seem to remember wondering where some of mine had gone. They appeared later.
I've started to get paper bills from them which I didn't expect.
They seem to have a relaxed timescale which worries some people.
Same experience here. Electric Meter reading given last week has appeared in the account this week, but posted for the correct date. DD taken yesterday and appearing in the transaction record today.
Contacted them via the online support on a minor query and got a response within 15 minutes!
Still glad that we switched our Electric to them back in December, as the savings compared to other tariffs available now are substantially higher.
Seems like a lot of the "issues" are related to gas supply, or that they don't make contact with previous supplier until the 14 day cooling off period has expired. Glad that we are with Zog for Gas!
Have helped an older relative start a switch of electric to Iresa from an e.on collective deal and everything seems to be going smoothly, with account set up on-line and regular emails to keep her updated.0 -
So far, so good. (Dual fuel switch from British Gas to Iresa.) 14 days cooling off was up last Saturday, and Iresa informed me that they were applying to British Gas for the switch out. The first DD to Iresa went out today, at the advised amount, as expected. I have also had this in an email from BG:
"We'll close your account on 3rd March 2017, and your new supplier will automatically take over your supply at the same time – so you won't be left without any electricity. If things change, we'll let you know."0 -
Electric meter reading that I provided a couple of days ago (just after DD taken) has already appeared on the account today and all charged correctly.0
