Did you check whether your daughter could claim on her travel insurance? That would be by far the easiest thing to do, (assuming she declared her MH problems) all she would lose would be her excess.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Hope your daughter got this sorted, I would think travel ins is the way to go.
It must be very hard to watch someone make a mistake and not be able to help them, but as long as she learns then at least that's something. 18 year olds think they know it all, youth is wasted on the young.......0 -
