At the lottie thins morning and then out to a garden centre this afternoon....OH wanted some more of the caterpiller stuff a fellow allotment holder gave us 4 boxes for £1, so we now have plenty......I also bought pansies, tulips and cyclamen for the trough by the front door of the complex. We took my friend with us, she really enjoyed herself.........bought some plants for her apartment......we have just had a cuppa and a biscuit and she has gone back to her little house......

Changed the bed before we went out, everything washed and dried, now I have a pile of ironing, will do it tomorrow....hopefully.............

I looked for Rzl last night but not sure if I saw her or not......enjoyed it though................it has been a good proms season this year some lovely music and artists performing.

  • Hi Ceriwen
The 'lifestyle' firendly resort, is also 'clothes optional' our friends went as they are naturists, the guests are made up of swingers, naturists, exhibitionists & many others, it wouldn't be my idea of a good holiday, but each to his own. I personally thought it was a very strange place to go to get married & have a honeymoon. They did get constantly propositioned by the swingers staying at the resort, but they seemed to find this amusing rather than bothersome. They did tell us about one couple, well past the first flush of youth & both rather ample, who wore matching 'Borat' style swimming cossies in a different colour every day!
I'll bear in mind your comments re 'wireless' although where I work has a wireless network, so I suppose I'm at risk there too, though when I'm at work I worry more about the toxic fumes given off by the equipment I work with.
I can't imagine anyone would sit for long outside my house with a laptop, as they would soon be mugged, as for the security of my system, I'll ask my DS1 as he could probably advise me.
    Hugs Hester

    Evening.

Not much OS again today as im sooo tired and was up all night again and sick. :(

Parents have been round today too doing some decorating and finishing off odd jobs. Im not lazy or taking advantage of them BTW, my parents are my "landlords" so see it as their responsibility. The house was left to my dad by my nan last year when she died and they are in process of modernising it slowly (as funds allow) so as i needed somewhere to live desperately as i was about to be made homeless it made sense for me to move in and take over the bills i.e. utilites council tax etc.. win win situation. I always worry i sound like a spoilt rich kid or something when i say my parents are doing all the work here or "oh i dont pay rent my mum and dad own the house i live in".. people make assumptions! Never realising were just a normal working class family who just happened to inherit my nans house when she died as dad was an only child!!!

Anyway enough babbling (i just get very embarrassed explaining my living situation :o) ....

Very disapointed in myself as ive been really sick last few days with morning sickness ive had to throw loads of food in the fridge out cos it had gone off! Lots of fruit in the bowl has gone mouldy too! :( Really hate throwing food away too........ Oh does anyone know how long i can keep a piece of cooked gammon in the fridge for before needing to bin it?? I cooked it on thursday and havent used it all yet. Its in the fridge on a plate covered with tin foil would it still be ok??

Ive managed to do one load of washing, just need the energy to do the dishes now as ive used all 3 plates i have and need to cook my tea.... just dont know if i have the energy!! Plus ive trapped a nerve or something in my bum cheek! :o Standing/walking/sitting for long time/bending over are all causing twinges and cramp in the one bum cheek! So most chores are off limits without a constant "ooh" "ahh" "ooh" much to everyones amusement! lol

I suppose i should have a bath tonight too, but i really dont have the energy or inclination even though i know i desperately need to have one.. i really do find baths and showers a chore! :o

Ah well.. hoping next week may be a bit more productive....

    Hi all,

just a quickie to say hi and then I'm off to do lunches for work and school tomorrow. It's my first day back tomorrow since the summer holidays. I haven't been there for 10 weeks! Great job isn't it? I get 10 weeks off in the summer, 3 at christmas , 2 at easter and 3 half terms! Mr Frog asks why I bother going in at all!! I only do 9.30 ~ 2.30 so it's not too bad , and I get 25 mins break at 10.30 and 1.30 :rotfl: But the rest of the time it's hard work, reading the books, chatting to my friends, the occational phone call, Life in a university library is very stressfull you know!:rotfl:

Any way well done to those of you who are on the challenge and doing well. Keep it up guys. It's been 9 days since my last binge xxx:T

  • Hi everyone,

Hope you had a good weekend,

I watched DD play football at an away match this morning, was a bit peeved as we drove past three large car boot sales and couldn't stop as we had a 10.30 kick-off. :o :rotfl:

DH then went to work so we came home and picked some blackberries from the garden, they are good here this year, really plump and juicy and large.

I made a chicken casserole and have made some stock, also a wholemeal apple and blackberry crumble (Bramleys were £2.17 for three:eek: )

I have just knitted two tiny bobble hats for this charity, they only took 20 minutes each, hopefully the kids will make the pom-poms to go on top!!Here is the link for any keen knitters -

This was very easy so hopefully it will help to raise money for Help The Aged, I'll do a few more this week.

Off now to get school stuff ready.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

  • Johanne: I'd say you should freeze that gammon unless you are definitely going to eat it tomorrow - and heat it up when you do.

hd the pasta for dinner - it was very good. Had fruit for snack this afternoon. Laid on a blanket outside in our garden reading for a couple of hours. Hopefully the jars will come tomorrow and I can get going on the chutneys; I've got all the ingredients to make everything. (I hope!)

Have a good night, sleeptight, don't let the bedbugs bite!
