Hmm, do you agree that you need to get some advice to make sure you are getting the right benefits? Please focus on this first (i.e. money coming in). You have been looking for work for some time, telling yourself that it will all come right once you get a job - but this may have stopped you doing something about your income from a benefits point of view. If you weren't earning anything, you could have claimed JSA or ESA - have you done this? It won't make you rich but at least its something regular coming in. It looks like you've been struggling accepting the reality of the situation you are in right now. But this is only going to go one way if you don't sit down and face your reality.

Then you need to look at your debts. You've been advised how this can happen. Please get some advice. If you go to Shelter, the CAB, the Housing Association (if they have an advice department) you can probably do all this at once.

The other comments on here are correct.., rent must come first, and this should include something to cover the arrears.

But you need to sort some kind of income first. Just for now. That probably means benefits right now.

You can stop this, you can give yourself another chance, but it has to happen now. It seems to me that bringing yourself to face the situation has got to be easier than being homeless.

Firstly STOP! And breathe, have a cup of tea.
You need to make sure that the rent statement is correct and shows your housing benefit payments. Why haven't they done this?
Secondly is there a delay in housing benefit at the moment? When is it likely to come through? Have you chased the housing benefit people? Also you need to pass this information to the housing association so they know what's going on.

P.s if you are living off tea and toast then something doesn't sound quite right. Do double check your benefits.

Drinking loads of tea, its what I live off :)

No delay in housing benefit, housing association will receive every 4 weeks.
Housing benefit has written to me and told me of the change, my housing association claim they don't know what is going on

I am self employed so in the past housing benefit was checked against income every 6/8 months, or when ever.....but was working last year so no housing benefit for most of year and this year applied in Jan/Feb, so all benefits up to date.

As stated in earlier post, personal/family stuff have been overwhelming me and not allowing me to focus on business.
Writing it all down on this forum, reading responses and just getting feedback has really helped allowing me to deal with it and get myself going again.

Thank you all for your help

If you are paying bedroom tax and struggling, it may be time to bite the bullet once all this is sorted and downsize to minimise your outgoings and maximise your incommings.

Give the HA a copy of the HB letter, or please please please go to the CAB and they will negotiate a payment plan for you.., they will also help with the other debts.

It sounds like one place doesn't talk to anorger
I would email everyone involved in your case explain that you spoke to x,yz on such and such a date, attach a copy of any relevant award letter etc.
Follow this up with a letter in the post ( get free proof of posting) from the post office. Send a copy of any relevant letters/ award notices ( keep originals obviously).
You should offer a payment plan you can afford. Cab, national debtline or stepchange should be able to help with this.
It sounds like it's got in a bit of a mess and messages re housing benefit and repayment plans are not getting to the right people.
An alternative might be to physically go and sit down there at the housing association with your paperwork until you get someone in authority to deal with you.

The gas supply being cut off sounds like a nightmare too. You should report this in writing to your landlord ( again get proof of posting). State the urgency of this and explain you can't cook/ heat the house/ have hot water ( whatever it has affected).
How has your neighbour been allowed to do work that affects the joint supply and leave it in a mess meaning your supply is unusable?
( this might actually go in your favour if you can prove that you have reported urgent repairs in writing and they have not been dealt with as a judge won't be too impressed if they aren't fulfilling their legal responsibilities ( irrespective of rent arrears you deserve a decent standard of home)).

Boiler was shut off yesterday because of neighbour built an extension that I had issues with, I contacted land lord last year and they did not follow through, even though I have called and left messages... Unfortunately this is how they work.... Or don't work!

Work is being done now, so I can get my gas back on, neighbour have to turn their boiler off until fixed... Flues are too close together and theirs is faulty..... If my landlord had been on the ball and followed through, this probably could have been sorted last year.

I have had so many issues with my landlord and their lack of care, its too much some times, so unless its dangerous or gas, electric or water are affected, I don't bother, I don't have the energy any more.

Housing benefit being paid will reduce rent a couple of hundred, gonna throw what money I can at it the next few weeks before court date, everything is up to date and correct, checked paperwork yesterday.

Lordlord are taking me to court regardless of what paperwork they have and don't have..or remember to follow up on, I just have to focus on making money to reduce debt...i can't get caught up with their lack of professionalism, the last 2/3 days have totally exhausted me and I have nothing positive to say to them right now, so best leave it be.
