I am going to give you some advice.
Dont make any statements about how "sophisticated" I am
In fact do not make any statements about how "sophisticated" about how anyone is.
You have shown extreme stupidity by repeatedly making statements about the reasons for my actions and repeatedly making statements about events which happened which you have no way to know anything about and then asking questions which would only make sense if your statements were true. I repeatedly told you why this was a complete fallacy and other people told you that you have no possible way to know the truth of the statements you were making and yet you kept doing it.
It even got to the point were I gave up on you and started saying oink oink whenever you made this mistake and yet you still continued doing it.
Again, do not make any statements about how "sophisticated" any other person is. No matter who the other person is you are in no position at all to comment on how "sophisticated" they are. Frankly you need to treat EVERYONE as your intellectual superior.0 -

I just read 20+ pages of this MSE gold. I've been a member for quite a while and this thread is in the top 5 most memorable!
Guys, lay off the OP - let him go get a hobby that isn't being destroyed on the internet which cannot be healthy for his mental health!
Obviously this accident happened otherwise why would the OP go off on one about suing insurance companies and escalating to the high court to intimidate the claimant not to pursue? That spanned a couple of pages and would have been totally superfluous to the claim being entirely hypothetical.
I think the OP should slink off thoroughly embarrassed and thank their lucky stars that they are anonymous. Being this ignorant and consistently wrong qualifies you for being POTUS, well done.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Well I read the OP, saw how many replies it's got & went to the last page where I found nothing but nonsense.
So anyway, I overtook a guy one time & he swerved into me to run me off the road.
Sounds far fetched doesn't it but then you don't know he was a local lion who was sentenced for trying to kill his partner shortly after that. I won't go into the details.
Anyway the insurance company basically said I was at fault because I was overtaking, no ifs ands or buts. I was overtaking so it didn't matter what he did, I was at fault (obviously a witness would've helped).
So I said basically what you're saying is I can go home from work tonight & the first guy who overtakes me I'll just drive right into him side on & I'll get the payout??
We understand your frustration is all they had to say.
So without camera footage or witnesses if you're the one overtaking then it doesn't matter what happens - the insurance company will say you're wrong.0 -

I was parked in a disabled spot and there was a bike behind me but I couldn't see it as he'd parked it almost horizontal so it was too lw to see. He must've parked his wheels realy clost to my wheels so I nudged back and knocked his bike over. He seemed really dodgy, he daid it was a friends bike, then changed his story to he had had a crash this week and totalled his car and then said the bike in exchange for a car was a courtesy:D bike. I didn't believe him . He had been hanging around a head shop looking shifty.
anyway. he got the bike up, I was standing on the narrow busy pavement by my motability car as I was going to give him my details when he pointed the bike towards me and tested it on the pavement towards me. He accelerated really fast as if he didn't know how to control a bike swered, I knew what was coming so I put my hand out shouting stop but 3 seconds later he crashed into me and crushed my hand then swerved again and knocked down a billboard. He totally blamed it on mne, saying the break was broken but I don't know what he was thinking driving it in my directyion on the pavement. He should have taken it to the end of the road where there were no people on the pavement.
I went into the head shop and asked if he had witnessed him crashing into me, but then realised that he was his mate, and got really intimidating, accusing me of playing the victim card to get compensation. It happened so quick and the time wehnt in slow mo as I knew what was coming but I was in such shock. The head shop guy used the 2 different versions that the bike was a mates then a curtesy bike and he told m,e I owe the guy cash for the bike and went really dark on me. He got really angry when I told him I had rung motability and that I was covered. and freaked out as he said I shouldn't have rung them as now I'm going to get the guy into S*** . it made me suspicious that the guy probably had no licence and that the bike could be nicked or something. He told me that I was lucky that he was nice to me then said he would ring the guy up and tell him I had come in and said he might not be nice next time. Then he told me to unpolitely get out of his shop.
I'm shocked and will have to go to a and e tomorrow to xray my hand. I already have bad arthritis in that thumb plus an old fracture that healed badly, and osteoporosis so I'm really worried about my hand. I just feel so shaken up, and I can't think straight and I feel vulnerable as they were both really dodgy snd I don't want any repercussions or harrassment for cash. I experienced that many years ago and it was really scary. sorry for bad typing i'm rubbish at typing with my right handMany thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -
