Advice on family moving in

But you informed them so they know. So if they know and have approved it, why would their mail coming in make any difference?
We do not care what you want to do, but if you are going to come up with questionable statements, you are going to get the questions.0 -
I thought guarantors had to be home owners.
Not necessarily (I have a family member working in estate agency who I've just asked)
They will be flexible with it, as long as the guarantor isn't struggling, and even for homeowners 3 months bank statements/proof of savings are required for a quick browse over in that particular agency.
This is a small lettings firm though (single branch, 3 sales/2 lettings staff). I'm sure some of the bigger ones will have much stricter rules.💙💛 💔0 -
Ive spoken to my housing officer whom said she would take the I.D. of the guy moving in and put him down as an "occupant"
You have told them he has a family haven't you? Because this reads like you have only given your BIL's details to the HA. They will not have a problem with a single person moving in with you, but a family is different.0 -
I am actually allowed 4 occupants... ive been told.... so your wrong LitteMax.....0

I didnt think i needed to explain all of this so deeply...
You don't need to explain anything. You asked the question and have got a mix of answers, disbelief and incredulity. That's the nature of public forums. You can chose to respond but that is your choice.
There is no reason for you to post any further if you don't want to. Other posters may continue to discuss amongst themselves, but eventually the thread will die a natural death.0
