Hi all .
I m new to this forum and I'm really disparate for advice .

I have bought a new 13k motorbike under finance back in September 2015 . Part ex my old bike payed what ever left on finance and started new one with the new bike . Went to collect the bike sales executive was ok to begin with but then I felt like I was asking him for change .

Anyway signed the paper works and everything was ok then I left the garage . Got around 170 miles trip before I make it home . 70miles later engine management light come on so I stopped in the middle of nowhere and rang franchise road assistance . They asked me to not ride the bike and they sending AA as its free service . First van came he couldn't do anything as he had old van plug to the laptop it's an old one so they sent recovery truck . Didn't get home til 3.30 in the morning .AA agreed to come the fallowing day to take me to the local dealer . However when I went there the manager didn't want to have a look at the bike because it's bad pdi and he shouldn't deal with it without mentioning I was riding with faulty left read indicator .

I rang the dealer where bought it the fallowing day told him what happened they asked me to bring the bike after checking it's safe to ride of course went there when my service was due . Then month later or less than two month engine management light came on again and couldn't pass 60miles per hour even the engine is 1200cc rang the garage again they asked me to stop riding it which I did and they will come to collect it . They did and few days later they gave me an update of what went wrong , All sensors and exhaust needs replacing . Three weeks later went to get my bike back .

All Was ok until three or four week later where the exhaust Valve got stuck again . So rang them told them this can't be happening every month and its brand new bike and not cheap either even its bought on finance . I was going on holidays but they agreed to collect it while I was away . They only collected it day before I came back to the uk knowing I was away for two week and rang them week before I went on holidays so total of three week to collect it . Before I went away sent an email saying that I had enough of this bike getting breaking down every month .

The manager tried to sort out the issue and He gave me the option of switching to another brand which I thought it will be a good idea . However he rang me back four days later where it was suppose to be an hour later . He suggested I should take another bike and he he is giving me a good deal considering the manufacturer will cover around 3k finance and value of the bike . However after seeing the figures of the new bikes the dealer put the cash value more than 1.500£ What the real cash value is and monthly payment is more than what I'm paying now even tho the apr on the same bike model is lower so I knew it was a rip off so I lost my temper told them I no longer want the bike as its not fit for purpose . He turned around saying if the route I wanna go ahead with that's fine . It felt like a threat . Straight away he decide to send the dealer van to get his courtesy bike back and dropping mine off .

I have told him I'm rejecting the bike and it should stay in his garage . I rang the finance people explained exactly what happened they said they will investigate and it could take up to 56 days . Now I have no motorbike and I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't drive . And getting to work on the bus it's not the best solution . So my question is do I stand a chance rejecting the bike ? And how and how long would it take . Would I get refund ? Or just cut even any .advice would be helpful . thank you

What bike is it that cost £13k?

Have you checked out owner's forums for the make/model?

You have a bike that you want to reject. That's fine, the dealer is apparently accepting the rejection.

But you seem to think you're entitled to a loan bike from the dealer after rejecting yours, until you organise a replacement? Dream on... Were you REALLY expecting that the dealer would leave you the courtesy bike...?

Of course the finance need to be in on the rejection. They gave the dealer £12k, and you're giving them a small amount per month to gently repay them.

My old boss has taken delivery of one of these a snip at 22k although for those with deeper pockets full of cash and brave pills you can get the R version at 41k.
