    Running out of steam...

Downstairs loo has gone kaput. Well. It's overflowing so I've turned off the water inlet. I think the valve thingy wants replacing.

Been at church thing this morning for her maj's birthday - kiddies had faces painted and got crowns and little flags so they are happy. Also lit a candle. Been a long time since we went to church.

Just made chilli jam but without the sugar. Well, it's chilli jelly I suppose - can't really use pectin without sugar.

Still keeping on with laundry despite the wet weather since its forecast all week here so going to have to dry indoors anyway.

Ouch, all our eyes are watering from the boiling vinegar, lol

Bossymoo sorry to hear about your toilet.

Today we went out quite early as needed some bits and bobs. Wins 4 x canned tomatoes for £1 in Arsda and the same on chickpeas. We use their smart priced nappies too. £1.20 for 20 seems a no brainer. Why pay ££ more for the same thing with happy babies (who dont care so long as they are dry and clean) on

Flying - took an old shoe rack to the bins. Cleaned the cat food bowl. Cleaned the bin, boiling water and scrub out plus lid clean. Took out rubbish and recycling. DW still to empty and dry washing in basket but needs putting away.
Probably wont get that much more done today as everyone is home but the thought is there :)

We had no plans today so that was nice....

Yesterday kiddies had some friends over in the afternoon which turned into a sleepover! All were very good so they can come again!!! Loll yesterday hubby started hacking down the bushes in the front garden. A job I didn't think we were doing until next year! (We still haven't dug up the stumps from the ones we cut down last autumn!!!!) so today I spent he morning bagging up the green waste and doing two tip runs. Took about two hours in total! Just suggested to hubby that we pay for the brown bin collection from the council. We have to pay now to have our brown bins collected!!!! But it will save petrol and more importantly time! We can do a little bit every two weeks to get rid of it all.

We were going to go out for a bike ride this afternoon but it rained so OH and the boys played some of OHs old Playstation games. Some of them are 20 years old and the graphics are really bad in comparison but the boys had a great time. I had a sort out in our room of doom so it looks a lot better. Still some random stuff being stored in there but it is much improved!!!!

We are going to ik*a tomorrow to look at kitchens!!!! Yay! Hubby has taken day off work to come! So not a lot of flying will get done tomorrow!!!

    Hugs to all x

Kettle has sort of been descaled. I may have to buy another sachet as it's still not clean properly. Laundry is going well and DD is ironing while watching TV. Tea has been made and consumed so while I was at it I've chopped up some fruit for snacks for the next few days :D

I've put a fly screen curtain up on the back door, but of course the door isn't a standard size so I'm going to have to do a little bit of sewing to flatten it out properly around the edges. Going to grab the end of the cleaning cloths and finish the fly list first though. ;)

A fairly relaxing weekend, in between "visitor support" i.e. preparing/clearing food and changing bedlinen.
Managed a bit of time in the garden today in between showers, also did a bit of a report.
Mr N now ironing while catching up on recorded TT racing.
I'm up to London tomorrow, going to QE2 Olympic Park.
