Morning all. Hope all headaches have gone this morning.

I'm just going to take a look at the list and do something for half an hour before cracking on with the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning

Headache has gone (thanks for kind words) but I feel a bit groggy. Off for a shower in a minute. A meeting I was supposed to have for job no. 2 has been cancelled this afternoon which is no bad thing. In fact I might just take the afternoon off and do a bit of work tomorrow morning instead. Will see how I feel later.

I need to get moving, will check in later x

    Morning!

Absolutely shattered.com :o so this morning is cancelled. I'm on the sofa and my eyes are closing.
I've set the DW going and put some whites in the sink to soak. I'm sure I've done washing this week but DS had no clean shirt this morning so has gone in yesterday's slightly grubby one :o

He's going for tea at a pals after school so will take DD somewhere too :)

Might be drinking lots of tea today...

Me too ;) I've just decluttered an hour's nap. Stuck Tiny in front of the TV with some Ovaltine and nodded off. Feel much better now, although I could so easily go back to bed properly.

I'm having a bit of a down day today. Slept badly, having weird dreams, woke really early with a sense of doom and had a bit of a sniffle over my weight gain since giving up regular drinking. I feel frumpy and I just can't stop eating :(

No plans for flying today as I CBA. DH moaned at me yesterday for not making our bed, which I'd forgotten to do, so I've done it today, but the rest of my motivation has left me. Black dog looming. Throw some sticks please chums x

Flinging a big stick towards the river for your BD, Dizzy.

    So far I have
    - S&S'd bathroom
    - S&S'd kitchen
    - sent DH to collect his car - £400 seems to be the going rate for anything atm :( but the deal was that I would pay the full cost of my car if he had his repaired and kept it, rather than buying a new one which we can't afford :money:
    - done two loads of washing
    - deadheaded the garden
    - put mealworms out for the robins (their babies have just fledged)
    - sorted the correspondence about the course we're writing
    - updated one file: it is far too long and needs drastic cuts - but we can argue over them when we meet on Monday

I too am trying to ward off a headache and keep awake, but may have to succumb to an hour on the sofa before lunch. It must be the weather, especially the warm nights - and anyway I woke up far too early this morning.

Customer emailed and text, 4th WM load in, just waiting on the TD to finish then I'll put another load in that. Personal email sorted, finances updated. Upstairs dailies done, kitchen ones on hold as I can't get in there for laundry on the floor, one dog sulking as he's just hacked up a couple of treats I gave him for being good :( Plan now is to sit down with my book and some lunch, then get some flying done this afternoon. Paid stuff is waiting on the one customer getting back to me now

Enjoyed dinner outside tonight (anybody else do this so they don't have to wipe down the table and sweep the floor???!!)

I knew we were doing it for a better reason than just making the most of the weather! We had a real treat; while we were eating, a little hedgehog came round. I haven't seen them in our garden for years. It looked thin - well as much as you can tell - so I scooted upstairs to Google what they ate, as I know milk is bad for them. Turns out mealworms are good. Crunch crunch, it stayed for ages and had a long drink of water too. I'l put mealworms and water in the same place this eve in case it comes back.

A fair whirlwind of progress yesterday getting house ready for visitor 1.
    - all rooms done
    - chicken casserole in slow cooker, rhubarb fool in fridge and remaining rhubarb frozen.
    - new garage door fitted; workmen came on time
    - doc visited; profusely apologised as he hadn't meant to write "no action" on my scan but "double appointment"......easily done. Anyway, after long discussion (having previously researched and spoken to various people), I had the cortisone injection there and then. Took me by surprise a bit, having gone there just to see what I had to do with the rest of my "exercising life". We'll see. Hurt a lot last night but tolerable today. Tried to get a sick note banning me from housework for 6 months but no; just a warning not to lift anything much or push a lawn mower for 2-3 days.
    - 1 report finished and emailed.

    So today:
    - friend chatted to and seen off.
    - bedclothes whipped off and in machine ready for tomorrow's guests.
    - various documents printed off, signed as required.
    - bird feeders filled.
    - Queen's service watched (huh hadn't factored that into my busy day; have recorded it but I'm a sucker for pageantry so couldn't resist watching some 'live').

Next on the list is another report; quick check round all rooms; go down and check church flowers (friend kindly brought some but as I already have 2 arrangements I may just take some of them to church); check greenhouse; tidy study for tomorrow's guest. Dunno what else, but the longer I sit here listing it, the less time to do it.......

Fingers crossed for good and happy recovery to Valli sister. Sorry to hear about lost friend Dancemum. Hugs to any I've forgotten.
