I have give myself a kick up the bum tonight after achieving not much today apart from sorting the old mattress. I have booked my boiler and central heating service for the end of the month. Now i have to get the house sorted as their is no way im letting someone look around my house while itsin this state.
Sometimes a bit of extra pressure is needed to get things done.
Right time to take son to bed then hopefully an early night.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Well done on booking the boiler service. I know what you mean about the state of your house. I live in dread of someone popping by without announcement, although anyone with half an ounce of sense would turn back at the overgrown untidy front garden. So going to get this sorted parsniphead. Sick of living this wayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I'm with you DIA. It's such a never ending battle and I'm sick of it to be honest. It now has to improve much more, I have a set date. Yes it has got a bit better over the months but its moving way too slowly. I just want it done now.
On that note I'm going to see what can be achieved before work. I could do with the whole day but can't so this morning and tonight will be busy times.
Time to get on. Have a good day.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

I too live in fear of someone just popping round! I seem to make progress then things get in the way like work or being out all day and just leaving stuff everywhere because I have ten seconds to get out of the house! Glad it's not just me!0

I need at least two days notice before anyone visits
I blame the fact that I live with four messy people and spend all my time trying to earn money  but as long as everyone is happy, that's the main thing
It does feel great when the house is tidy though, it gives you an illusion of being in controlFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks guys. It does make me feel better when it's not just me. Oh the thought of anyone arriving at the house unannounced.
I have had a funny day today. I went to the local shopping centre for new trainers for DS and came back with boots instead which is ok. They are lovely too. Mum also treated us to some luch. It was so nice to see DS eat so well.:j
When I came home I had a letter from my mortgage provider. They have upheld my PPI claim and I have been awarded £4700. :j:j:j (Have you done that PPI claim DIA). I also have a second claim on my first mortgage which I should hear about by Wednesday. Fingers crossed. I do feel cross that they overcharged in the first place putting so much financial strain on people. Anyway I know that I should pay it off the debt I have decided to put it towards getting some new windows. Mine are single glazed and run with condensation during the winter months. It's also causing issues with black mould. They are also very, very draughty. Time to upgrade to double glazing after 15 years of putting up. There will be a lot of thought before hand though and lots of research.
Blimey I'm getting very organised. What with the boiler check and everything. I will have to change to name of the diary. :rotfl:
Right a bit of me time then time to carry on with the house sorting.
I hope you are all having a lovely Saturday.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
