Hello poor, neglected diary.
A funny few weeks with sickness and Ofstead . Back to normal now which is money saving and decluttering.
My first bag of the weekend left the house this morning. :j just another 13 to go before the 6th of Feb.
I'm going to spend an hour this morning dismantling the old suite to go to the tip on my next day off. I will be glad to see the back of it.
One area I struggle with is the bathroom, we have so many toiletries, especially since Christmas. Im on the hunt for a box to put them all in so I can put them out of site in a cupboard. It will look so much tidier. I do need a new basin too as mine in cracked so if I get one with an underneath cupboard then the towel/toiletries problems will be solved. I'm going to shop around later and see how much we need to save. It shouldn't be too much as we only have space for a small one.
DS's bedroom is still a work in progress. He needs a big bed as he is growing out of his toddler one. I think I will use stepsons old one as he has vacated it and get a new mattress. Its seen better days but will do for a shop while.
I have been chipping away at debt and moving as much to 0% as possible. After the twelfth I can move another £250 before the transfer window closes. One the closed cards don't show on my credit report any longer Im going to try to get another one for the last bit of debt with Interest.

I cut up my v4nquis card. I felt scared about doing it but now i have to stick to budget. I have lived without cards while on DMP so i can do it but i feel very nervous at the moment.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Thank you Boxofpaws and Boberella.
I had a massive wobble/panic yesterday and dissolved into floods of tears before work. Luckily I managed to pull myself together quickly but spent the day with a very glum look on my face. Sometimes it's needed and today I'm back and even more focused on getting rid of debt. I must be because I have just eaten some bacon from the freezer which I have no idea how long had been there.
I defrosted some mince yesterday and didn't get round to using it so before work I'm going to make a Spag bol. If it's not used tonight I will freeze it for another time.
Tonight I need to look at the freezer and fridge before I shop tomorrow. We have a lot of bits in that with effort would be meals. I just don't like cooking. I think a big batch cook over the weekend is needed though. Nothing is going to waste.
DS is sick today but mum has said she will have him. I'm so grateful as I can't afford to lose another day's pay. A day at home cuddling would be nice though.
Time to get cooking and ready for work.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Yay to getting rid of a credit cardIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Sorry DS is sick. Im glad your Mum can help. Sorry too that yesterday was a wobbly day. We do all get them. I was miserable for around a week before payday, no money, that feeling of groundhog ness that sets in when you know you have no choices, blah blah etc. But the good thing is we need those times to appreciate when we are truly happy." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Nasty V*nquis Card - you can do without it :j
keep going you are doing fab :T0 -
Thank you all so much for your replays. You're all so lovely and supportive.
DS is much better today and insisted on going to school. I didn't think he should have gone but he has been OK.
I'm feeling better today. I think that having that dreadful card there didn't help me focus on the budget. Now I have to focus like I used to....and can do again.
I also have a number of sewing jobs to do which will also pay off a few more pounds. :j
