It is slowly cherryfudge although yesterday I did nothing except clear one small patch of garden.
Today I need to get some more stuff done and ring around some roofers.
Hopefully I will be back later with a proper update.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

The big advantage of clearing now is of course getting a head start before things start growing too much! The warmth after all the rain sent my grass into overdrive recently but I keep admiring the patch of garden I cleared recently, it does make a difference.
Hope you find some good roofers, I know some people put messages round on social media asking for recommendations.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Good luck with the roofers Parsniphead. I am making progress with roofers, albeit one step forward and one step back.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Wasn't yesterday such a lovely day. I do love it when the sun shines. I did spend most of it entertaining DS spending some time at the local small airport watching the light aircraft and eating chips. Later we had some time at a garden centre and he had a play on the climbing frames.
Later we planted four rows of peas in the small cleared patch. Moved the swing and then spent an hour throwing a space hopper at one another. Its wild at my house.:rotfl: My goodness, we were both very dirty by the end of the day.
Today I need to get some more throwing out done, even if its only for an hour. I do find when I have a massive clear out like I did a couple of days ago, I'm pooped for a couple of days. I need to keep the ball rolling.
I've been trying to follow the D@ve Ramsey plan which has been up and down. Just keeping the £1000 emergency fund is something I've struggled with. Well I realised last night I have had the emergency fund for a while and I've been hitting baby step two hard. Woo hoo, I'm now officially in baby step two.:j I really can't wait for payday to he rid of a bit more. I'm currently ahead of where I planned to be so all is good. I just need to keep on top of getting impatient as this is where I fall down.
Right I need to get on and he the last of the washing in.
Have a good day all. X1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Well done for achieving Dave's baby step 1 and being well into baby step 2.
I don't have an emergency fund still and your post reminded me. My summer school teaching will create this fund so it will be in place by the end of July. Do you keep yours in a separate account? It will make working after work over the Summer easier as I'll know it is creating an emergency fund
Time with DS yesterday has done you good as you sound very positiveIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

It's not in a separate account yet. It needs to be transferred or I will chip away at it. Thanks for the reminder.
I have a lot of dressmaking coming in at the moment so that will all go towards the debt.
I'm feeling very positive and motivated at the moment.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Sorry. Mrs all or nothing again.
I've realised a lot of my MSE habits have slipped. I used to do a budget and meal plans. Both of these are no longer and I need to do them again. My spending is getting a bit loose and I need to sort the food as its completely out of control and excess spending is going on all over, especially the take always, which I don't particularly like.
I think a read of the frugal liviing challenge is in order and some time completing Everydollar again.
