I think we might allow you a little time away from the forums for that. Great to see two cards gone even if some of the money has migrated elsewhere. Interest rates are the enemy!Do get the roof quoted for and we can both be done with it. I am waiting for my roofer to return from holidays. Hoping he is 'the one' as they say

Its been of a bitty day for me wit not a lot achieved. I did have a mooch around Wr3n kitchens for a bit of a dream. Some nice ones but nothing I fell in love with.
I have just come back from a friends house. She has been renovating it and I hadn't seen it since it was done. Wow wee. It was gorgeous. She has such a good eye and should be an interior designer rather than a teacher. I tell you, I have come back with a total bee in my bonet about getting my house done. After tea I will be in full on decluttering mode. I may ask to visit regularly for a regular kick up the bum. I also think I need plans for what I want when the big jobs are done. Sort of what the finished thing will look like.
If only it would stop raining the garden could get some love too.
Have a good evening all.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Sounds like your friend's home inspired you. I need to get to the Swedish store but still haven't made it despite my intentions...
I'm with you with wanting this horrible wet weather gone so I can do some gardening. When will it dry out?

It feels like it will never dry out at the moment.
My friends house is inspiring and we have similar taste, except she gets stuff done. After coming home i spent half an hour attacking the kitchen. I cleared the window ledge, cleaned it and arranged stuff back on there. It made such a difference. I'm going to get up early tomorrow and get some stuff done before DS gets up. If I could only get on top of the clutter it would almost be easy. It's definitely an on going process.
I've also been looking at my diet. It's officially appaling. I really need to start focusing on what I eat rather than putting any old thing in my mouth.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and while he typed up my notes i could see a red flash in the corner of the screen saying "Refer Mrs Parsnip to weight management". That was a kick in the b@lls. Well if I had any.:rotfl: I'm determined to go back and have lost a chunk of weight. Bl00dy cheeky.:o:rotfl:
Right a bit of reading now and then bed.

I have a vision of how I would like my house to look too, but it requires much de-cluttering, as well as new flooring, decorating and new furniture. I can't afford the other stuff, but I could de-clutter which would make the house look a whole lot better.
If we do what we can, then the expensive stuff will be managed eventually hopefully. Healthy eating gives a lot more energy which could be used for de-cluttering and a good side effect will be weight loss.

It's wonderful what a fresh vision does for motivation. Your friend's house sounds lovely.
Keep on keeping on, as they say. Maybe take a few 'before' photos so you can look back and see the progress you're making. That goes for both the house and you. I took the 'before' photo then lost some weight but now the weight is creeping back and I've lost the photo.:rotfl:
Lovely to see all this enthusiasm, can you go on spreading it around you and maybe I will catch the decluttering bug properly? The house is really getting me down but I have to focus a lot or the magnitude of the task overwhelms me.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
