...have to disagree a LITTLE; there are some pretty good sets now available for sub £400 provided that you deon't want a huge screen eg http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/49-inch-smart-tv/lg-49lf590v:)
Poor link. There are no products actually listed on that page!

My main point still stands, however, <£400 sets are not "mid range"-they are budget.

Don't know why the link failed!
HOWEVER, my point was that that 49" LG set was originally considerably more than £399 - so as new sets are introduced it is perfectly possible to get such TVs reduced in price as they are phased out. They aren't all rebadged cheapies:)

    Dont worry about it .
They where perfectly happy to sell a £400 TV on an appointment .Not after hours but pre shop opening at midday .As it was a good salesperson can sell up if they are any good .

Seems to me to be two points here .
One budget buyers should stay in Asda according to some .
Two you have an expectation of poor customer service and that's what you will get .

If I bought a TV in Asda, there would be little or no "customer service" :p

Do note that the title of this thread specifies NEW 2016 sets, not obsolete models...
