Hi, K+8, all, glad you are feeling more chipper and that you slept well. I can hardly seem to sleep at all in this changeable weather; spent almost an entire night on here, a few ago. Good thing Mila is in a different time zone, so it was not as lonely as it might have been.
Your ex has more children he is not paying for??? So, you're in a queue? I will say nothing because I can find nothing nice to say about him and his ilk. You seem to be doing just fine without him and are a true inspiration.
When is number 8 due, please?0 -

No 8 is due is August, just shy of 8 weeks now :cool:Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
I am so glad you did not take offence, Kim, I tried for hours but could not hold that in... makes me appreciate my furry, little dudes even more, both of them... :rotfl: one human, one feline, both treat me with more than the respect I think I deserve, I am one lucky old trout. So what if both are furry and vertically challenged? It matters not a jot to me.
You keep on keepin' on, Kim. You, and ladies like you, rule.0 -

Ild love a wee dog, just like I had growing up but I need to sort the kids and finances before I add the cost and time of a pet to the craziness!
Thanks for your lovely comment, I hope I can inspire :beer:Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
Well, Charlie, the feline furry dude, is actually quite tall for his build; he is not very big but has long legs and a long tail, proportionately. Just makes him look even more elegant; like a model, perhaps.
OH is, let's not mess about, vertically challenged but it makes patio-laying that bit easier, less distance to bend. Bless him, he has just embarked on his fourth, in our fourth property together, and he is no spring chicken, now but determined to make it nice. It looks really classy, so far, and he will reap the benefit as he prefers outdoors to indoors.
I am so, so glad I did not cause offence, that is the last thing I would want to do. I don't know how you keep your cool but suppose anything else would be a waste of energy, especially when you have so many better things on which to expend it.
I wish I could be of practical help, Kim but, if nothing else, I can offer encouragement and utterly dumbfounded admiration... I cannot imagine how anyone does what you do but your children, I bet, will grow up better adjusted and better able to cope with the world than any number of spoilt brats with rich, useless parents who think their money buys them the right to dispense with manners and courtesy. Whose child is going to make the best employee, down the line, huh? Sending hugs.:grouphug:0 -
Hi Kim
I've been following your diary and thought I'd say hello. Infact I think I recognise you from elsewhere on the internet!! I too found myself on MSE in a bid to tackle my debt and make a better life for myself and kids.
I have 2 boys (so nowhere near the brood that you have) but I'm a single mum with a full time demanding teaching job. I bought my house last year after splitting with my ex in 2013 - he isn't the boys dad, but we had a very nasty, bitter split and money became very tight after he stopped paying our large mrotgage. He left me high and dry and I struggled to make ends meet. All of the equity was mine so I don't really blame him for walking away! I ended up renting 2 rooms out in my house for 6 months to pay the mortgage.
But that's all in the past now and I'm happier and financially better off too!
You're doing so well. I'm amazed at your determination and positive thinking!0 -

its all an illusion, inside I'm screaming !!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
had a lovely day with the family today and have come home totally shattered so its burgers and chips from the freezer as I'm too shattered to cook 'proper' food and ive just made 30 sarnies and wrapped them and freezer'd them for packed lunches for the next week.
I will probably get kids in pjs and bed now and crawl into my bed and crash:coffee::coffee:Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
Can't be long until mat leave now? Are you counting the days?

Well officially I am on Mat leave, it started last week butttttt, as I am sub contracted to do my job and nobody else does it I kind of still am working to keep things ticking over. I work for my local council waste department but I actually work with mums and babies, its complicated.
I am winding down work though and plan to have a few weeks tee total from work from about 3 weeks time and then will pick up when baby is 8 weeks old and just see how I go. Thankfully I can take baby with me.Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0
