    Hi Kim,

Pleased you are sounding so much better, hope that is how you feel and that you managed to get a good sleep. I've been awake since 01:30 a.m. hence the trans-Atlantic wave ;)

Well done on the de-cluttering. Hope it was not too stressful seeing the kids' father today.

Shattered today but got loads done anyway-
My son is really struggling at the moment so having to spend lots of time reassuring him and helping him with confidence.
NSD except for headlice comb as ours broke and we've had letters home again to say it's doing the rounds.
Had freezer meal for dinner and made pasta for kids lunches tomorrow. Just got to chop some carrot sticks in the morning and they are good to go.
Need to look seriously at cars this week as I'm struggling to ferry around on the bus now. Hopefully something will come up.
Baby is soooooo active tonight I can't sleep and I went to bed at 7 pm, lol I was so tired I literally crawled up the stairs to bed lol

    Bad day today,
got nursery bill and it's eye watering but it's the last one as I'm on may leave now so they won't be going again until sept when they get free 15 hours. :D
Paid for daughters school leavers thingy- was £9 entrance to theme park £19 for the limo and then extra for Pizza Hut:eek:
Sorted out school uniforms so have to pay for that tomorrow and then have to arrange home visit for my sons induction into foundation, I can't believe he's almost 5:eek:
I need new bedding, mine is thread bare as I've had it so long so ordered a new quilt cover and pillow cases from Argos, cheap and cheerful but will do the job better than my worn out set from primark.
I just got letter from csa to say they are 'looking into' my claim as it appears my ex owes money and as I've auctioned a CMS claim it's raised the debt from the csa. I called them as it's the first claim I've made and it's apparently owed to someone else- so must be his ex before me for his eldest kids who are now in their 20's!!!!
Went to a free energy saving session at my children's centre today and they were giving away free energy monitors to monitor electricity usage. I'm so excited about setting this up tonight but a bit worried I'll become really OCD about it! Lol
Kids also had eye tests today and my dd has better eyesight than last year which is fantastic news! The bad news is both her and my ds have new prescriptions and I have to pay extra for their lenses so that's £70 gone. :o
Eldest daughters and youngest daughters booked for next week so hopefully they won't need any and then dentist too next week!
I'm bleddy shattered from ferrying them about getting to appointments. :p
I fancy a glass of wine but I'm 8 months pregnant and skint so that's not going to happen, plus I'm usually tee total so not sure why I'm craving wine :rotfl:

Just a thought but do schools in the UK have a sliding scale for such school outings?
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

I have heard on here that if it's in school time that the contribution is voluntary bit as this is their 'treat' for leaving year 6 it's not part of the curriculum and has to be paid for. :-(

Sorry to ask r the children that went for the eye tests school age, know my dd goes every 6 mths all I pay is £10 for the thinner lenses .

The school trip as its not curriculum ur liable for the costs, if it's school based they can ask for voluntary contributions xx

Yeah they are both school age, 8 and 9 year old. I thought this was cheap last time it was £80 a pair because I got the flexible frames.
I think if I had got the free nhs frame it would have cost nothing but nice past experience they break really easily so I asked for the more 'plastic' rather than thin metal tin foil frames. I had to upgrade the lense for this to £35 a pair.
If they last then it's money well spent, 2 years ago we went for the free frames and both pairs broke wishing 12 weeks so I had to either pay to repair or replace at my cost. tbh school are not great at making sure they are not messed with or left about, my daughter is great but my son has additional needs and he can go through 2/3 pairs a year if school don't remind him to put them in his tray at break time

Probably be worth asking the optician, if your Son has documented additional needs (get this from the school) As our youngest lad was very heavy handed with his glasses new glasses every 6 weeks if we were lucky but specsavers would repair/replace like for like without charge so only had to pay to have the first pair lenses thinned he did have the higher NHS prescription but never had DLA or any benefits connected.

had a much better night last night, I actually slept through which I haven't done in ages.
Today, got up and made a huge vat of porridge, the kids loved it and chose their topping out of the jams and honey etc that we have in the cupboard.:T I have 2 huge bags of it to use up so cracking on with that this week for less spending.:j
Soup and bread rolls from the freezer for lunch, again another no spend meal.:j
Tonight will be something else that I can whip up from our cupboard essentials, probably a veggie lasagne as I have everything to do that.
Hoovering and bedrooms today, kids are chilling out in front of the electronic babysitter watching a goosebumps DVD and I'm pottering around getting stuff done.
Ive got a pile of things to advertise for sale on facebook so going to crack on with that too.
baby is down for a nap in the one bedroom that ive finished sorting so now I'm going to finish the other two room and while I'm at it see whats lurking about with a lack of love that I can sell to make a bit of cash for the summer holls.
kon Mari has a lot to answer for in this house at the moment lol.
Also looking for a cheap BBQ, I have several birthdays to sort over the summer and rather than wasting money on the disposable ones I am wondering if it would be cheaper to invest in a static one and just buy the coal and firelighters??
ive seen a bucket BBQ for £10 in sainsburys so ill probably pick that one up- we used it before one summer that we were camping but someone nicked it in the night from outside our tent lol.
Just did a Mr S shop for just under £50 including delivery for tomorrow so that was well played on my part and the kids will be packed lunches only from now on so making up a bunch of sarnies for the week to freeze and also only bought stuff that will go with what we already have in the freezer/ cupboards as I want to clean out the freezer and only buy what we eat to reduce waste.:D
I have a mountain of filing to do tonight plus all the ironing :( but once done I wont have to touch it again for another week :T
hope everyones week is going well K+8
