Hayull, Kimmie-May, they'all spayull ayverethang without thuh u... and everything that should have an s with a zed! They are selectively incapable of enunciating the diphthong {sighs} no, it is not an item of beachwear, for those of you who require elucidation, hence "dook" instead of duke, stoo for stew, aloominum for aluminium (pron. al-you-min-eeeee-um) for example, yet they are perfectly capable of articulating view, queue. They also insert superfluous syllables, presumably to compensate for all those they omit, e.g. entrepreneur is pronounced entreprenoo-werrr (for which, as Dubya informed us, the French have no word)... the French are not alone.
I rest my case.0 -
Gosh I have had a busy day today-
I spent loads to as I had bits to get for kids and birthday presents- plus I managed to grab 3 Christmas presents for £20 total in the early learning sale.
I got dd3 a baby bath for her dolly and a little pram for her dolly plus ds2 a knight outfit with sword and shield.
Managed to grab dd3 her birthday present for next week too- some happy land reduced to £20! It's the little preschool with little people and stuff inside, I just happens to be passing as the woman was marking it all down!
I got eldest dd school shoes and trainers for her PE kit, got dd9 and dd6 some jeans in next sale for £5 each, neither of them had a pair of jeans that fit so that was handy, plus we went into wilkinson and got pruning shears so I can cut back the garden, weed spray, some gardening gloves ( to protect from all the cat poop in our hedge) and cheap cleaning products for the bathroom and kitchen. Wilko is so cheap for cleaning stuff- wayyyy cheaper than the supermarket.
We came home and had lunch, meal planned and dos online shop, paid my rent online, looked at lawn mowers to purchase next week and ordered eldest dd a backpack online for school as at primary they had to have school logo ones. She's all set for school now, I also got online plimsoles for the other 3 so it's only littlest boys plimsoles and the 4 youngests school school shoes and we are all set to go!
I'm shattered but at least it's all sorted except shoes which I will get them measured for closer to September.
I managed to prune back loads of the bushes in our front garden tonight, it took around and hour but I'm so pleased it's now done.
Tomorrow I'm going to cut back the back garden and get the kids to help collect in the branches and gather up all the stones etc, then I'll probably get up the paddling pool and tidy around so they have the whole garden to play in :-)Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
Kim, I've been following your diary, and you are such an inspiration. I get exhausted just reading your posts, so goodness knows how you must feel at the end of each day :rotfl:
I don't have any little ones of my own at the moment, but hopefully one day I'll be as prepared and energetic as you with a family. Until then, I shall live vicariously through your diary and via my soon to be born niece!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

It's more exhausting when I'm working too so I'm thankful for being on maternity leave at the moment. Plus it's giving me much opportunity to organise our home and prepare for baby.Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
so Today at home I have so far done
:)2 loads of washing: hung out first load, second load just finishing and then that will be hung around/out
:)Sprayed all the weeds in the back garden with resolve spray and hopefull they will start to die off soon as they are driving me crazy
:)cooked spag bol for dinner with lovely wholewheat spaghetti, its certainly more filling than regular white pasta
:)cleaned my oven, all trays and shelves/wires racks on side to scrub but I used a magic sponge as I wanted it to be a chemical free clean and managed to clean it good and sparkling, I probably wont use it now until the winter as we are unlikely to have a roast anything baked in this summer heat and mostly I try to cook one pot stuff in the slow cooker as it uses less leccy and is cheaper.
:)Hoovered living room, under sofas and down stairs and cleaned out the kids toy box (again) clearing out any bit of paper and broken toys etc.
:)listed more stuff for sale online
:)sorted clean washing and made a pile to be ironed, the rest is all put away.
stripped and washed little ones bedding, clean sheets put on and  second to youngest DD is going nappy free tonight as I'm determined now she is nappy free in the day to crack the night time potty training too. She is 3 in two weeks and asks for a wee as soon as she wakes up so she is ready, I just need to mentally prepare for the oooooddles of bedding I may need to wash if this doesn't go to plan.
:)My work cupboard (where I store all my stuff for work, has been cleaned out and all boxes stacked up better ready for back to work once baby is here
:)all school uniform is in a pile for me to name tonight before putting away ready for September:p:p:pstill to do tonight
:ofile all paperwork from this weeks post and make a list of any calls I need to make Monday
:oIRONING:rotfl:
:oWrite shopping list for quick nip to supermarket tomorrow
:obath night for the littl'es
:ogo to bed early as I'm shatteredJust a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
Oh mama! Whew! That list is somewhere between needs to be done and nesting. No wonder you are wiped out for the day!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

If you could be wired up to the national grid, Kim, you could solve the fossil fuels crisis in a day. I just don't know how you do it. Once again, you are amazing.0
