  • Sounds like you're doing amazing MSE wise hun!

Your choice of books is much more high brow than mine! I love a thriller and a bit addicted to buying them so must stop!!!!

You still need some social in your life, and sounds like you are being more selective which is great!
  • I'm not highbrow coastal! Honestly but I can't finish a boring book and I don't really like things with loads of swearing.

Sometimes everyone I know is reading something and I try and read it and just think its appalling. Like the book -PS I love you. I just thought that was one of the worst things I ever tried to read. Not for me.

Cumbria My brothers girlfriend and I swap books as we like similar things and neither of us read very quickly - and actually my best friend and I swap books which is helpful but I read mine in the bath and bring them on the train so they are not always in the best condition!

Going to try and have low spend to payday but not sure how successful this will be.

Had a very social weekend and spent about £75 going out Friday and Saturday. That can't happen again!
Going out tonight and tomorrow but these will be less expensive and then Saturday also.
    A bit too much really.
Overall it should be a quieter February but the weekends are busy.

PSL I ike the fact you read in the bath so do I all the time . The habit came from when my children were younger it was the only place I could read in peace.

Enjoy your social , I am still down with this virus .

  • I don't know why but I just can't read in the bath! So it's either sofa or bed. Usually bed as there's too much on the telly at the moment to read - cannot wait for the new season of Homeland!

In some ways I wish I had social stuff going on - feel like we've not really seen anyone in ages. Seeing a friend friday night but that will be quiet as she will either come here or we will go out for food and I will drive and not drink.

    But the week is boring.

    Hi PSL!

I have had a break from mse for a long time whilst I was doing an ostrich impression (head in the sand)

I am back now, and you are in my subscribed threads, and I remembered that we used to chat on our diaries quite a bit so I thought I’d pop over to say hi, looks like you are doing well x

  • Hello Lovely ladies. Rexelpink I am sorry I didn't reply to your note sooner. I have had a lot going on. Mostly drinking too much and spending too much money. Very Nice to see you back. I hoped we would. xxx

Would like to feel better than I do today.
Not Debt But - on Saturday honestly for the first time in about 5 years I was on a date with someone I was actually attracted to.
I meet so many men and none of them are ever This!
It was quite exciting. We met a while ago but nothing happened and then he suggested we go for a drink so we did.

Normally on dates it is quite boring and flat but this was really different. I was so nervous and bought my book because I thought he wouldn't show up and was planning to finish it. So a bit of me was quite shocked and under prepared when he was there.
Will be better for the debt if he goes away now but I think I would like to see what happens- (if anything) Xxx

Ooh, romance is in the air! How exciting!
Yes, it’s been 18 months since I last posted in my diary, been really motivated this week (prattling onto myself in the diary about saving money, reducing bills and tidying my house!) but it’s starting to get a bit lonely so I thought I would venture out a bit and see how everyone is doing

Oooh excited to hear about your date PSL, fingers crossed for some romance for you - you deserve that!

Try not to think of it as something that will be 'not good' financially. Since being in a relationship I've paid probably twice the amount off my debt than I did before... Less having to go out all the time as we get to stay in and cook meals together/have movie-night tucked up on the sofa etc. :)
