    Hello everyone!

I'm listing my latest shower gel before I start using it as I decant them into a pump and throw away the bottle, so I won't be able to remember by the time I get to the end of it! It's Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser Skin Conditioner. And conditioner it appears to be: you have to apply it after cleansing (i.e. using normal shower gel) on the skin.
    :money:
I went to buy some more shower gels earlier today but realised that I have quite a few bars of soap at home that I haven't touched for a long time so I decided to use them instead.

  • Wilko skin therapy cotton pads - a few used from this pack. I have another sealed pack of Primark cotton pads which i will move on to next and a sealed pack of the big oval ones from Primark I will eventually be left with.
2x Simple eye makeup remover pads - a couple used from 1 pack and the other pack is sealed. Using for anything right now as eventually want rid of these as i have a bottle of remover in the stash i feel i will find easier to use.
Oh baby! cotton buds - only have about 8 or 10 left in this pack which i have been using for my ears( i know, naughty naughty!) and have another pack from Primark in the stash which i will use for anything(but ears if i can help it! :rotfl: )
Wilko functional face wipes - I find these literally the most useful item on the planet! I use these not just on my face, but even for wiping up a spill on a hard surface. I have 2 packs of Simple micellar wipes in the stash but i want to continue using Wilko ones while using up my unnecessary toiletries. I only have a few left in this packet so will repurchase when out and about on Saturday - purchased 2 more packs today
No. 7 soft and soothed toner - This is years old and only seems to get used as and when i remember it's existence! Only about a fifth of the product left so going to make a conscious effort to get it used up(this month ideally).
Simple purifying cleansing lotion - This was supposed to be part of my stash but i started using it with the Wilko cotton pads when i got up one morning and realised i had no face wipes left! So now it is on the list as i have a bottle of micellar water in the stash, the micellar wipes and some Simple face wash in the shower.
Nivea express hydration primer - definitely not a proper primer like you get from makeup brands. It is a massive amount of product for what you use on each application. Can see me binning this before it is used up as it's been open a while and only used it a handful of times.
FCUK for her - this is my signature scent right now. Ever since i opened it on new years i have, almost without fail, sprayed some on myself before leaving the house. There is still quite a lot left though. I have the lady gaga fragrance in the stash to move onto when this is finished.
Impulse vanilla kisses - this is just a back up spray if I'm just going somewhere quickly and just so happen to forget to use my FCUK.
Rimmel BB cream - bought 2 by accident, this one got opened first, so using this one as and when i fancy a bit of coverage if I've had a breakout etc. The other is in the stash, still sealed.
Avon colourtrend black eyeliner - mum passed this on to me without even opening it so I'm doing the honours of using it up. You know what they say about eye makeup though so this one may see the bin before i see it turn into a nub.
Avon supershock black mascara - same as above.
Ciate glitterball mini - I got this in a mystery deal from Groupon. It's still sealed, I'm just waiting for the remains of polish to grow out from my toenails. I don't have any polish remover as i get my fingernails shellac'd and normally leave my toenails well alone, but i bought some nice sandals for summer and this colour will look lovely on my toenails when i wear my sandals.
Gillette shave foam - this was actually bought for my partner but he doesn't like wet shaving so he gave it to me. I'm not fussed what i use when shaving but i do feel you pay a premium when buying shave items aimed at women.
Dove firming lotion - bought to go with the adidas shower gel further down the list but started using it now with my current dove shower creams as this lotion is double the size of any of the shower things.
2x Dove shower cream - these formed part of a set along with a poufe mum got but she doesn't use things like this so I'm using it all.
Adidas firming shower gel - this one will start getting used after the dove ones to go with the dove firming lotion then I'll just have 2 different branded and scented shower gels i can alternate between.
Carmex lip balm with SPF - bought this on a whim as i was shopping with friends and they were throwing all sorts into their baskets and i just followed suit :rotfl: my lips just do their own thing and no lip balm helps or hinders so i just want this gone.

I purchased 2 more packs of the wilko face wipes today, so now I have 1 open pack and 2 sealed packs. As I said in my previous post I want to use those cheap wipes while using up my unnecessary toiletries and then use the good wipes when I move on to my stash :o

    I have an in

Max Factor Facefinity 3 in 1 Foundation - I got the second shade in the range for summer as planned (warm almond), it was £12.99 and I used an advantage card points booster for spending over £12 on makeup, DH bought something so I used another points coupon and my double points coupon so I got almost 650 points - very pleased with this.

Have pulled out new night cream : Polaar Nuit Polair. Know absolutely nothing about this brand.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Well after being disappointed in my bank balance today (being paid late and less than normal which i now have to sort out) I actually now think this is a good thing and I'm going to challenge myself to not buy loads of unnecessary items this month and avoid spending online this month. I spent far too much on lush last month and seem to have forgotten the meaning of the challenge. There's only one thing I want this month which is a large pot of lush r&b as the sample I have is working well on my hair, however I have some money owed from work anyway for things purchased for residents, so when I receive the cash back will use that to purchase this. I'm going to use my next day off to go through all my stuff again and see how bad it's got again. I probably need to sort through things and I think looking at it all again will give me the reminder that I don't need to purchase anything except for maybe toothpaste and mouthwash! It's so easy to be ignorant and not notice stuff accumulating when you gave it hidden in a cupboard or in boxes. And I think part of it is my ocd about I must have a load of each item so I never run out. I need to learn that it's not the end of the world if I run out. So a good sort out is probably in order. And start enjoying what I already have more. Need to depart the naughty step at some point! I'd like to start saving now for the lush Halloween and Christmas ranges as I know there's some things I always like to get and use up the bombs etc I currently have. So I have a good 4 months to save up and then can have a treat, and hopefully decrease my huge stash of bombs in the meantime and then can get fresh ones when they are released again. That's the plan anyway!

I was going to buy avoshower from the kitchen this week but going to be good and leave it this time - I have so many I won't get round to it for ages anyway, plus I have already bought the avoshower jelly. Going to see what I can use up and get it next time instead. :D

    I have a UU anyway:

Alex by Alex curran eau de toilette 100ml - WNBA hated the scent of this, really wasn't keen. It was okay, but not my type of smell. Didn't have much staying power either (which I was glad of actually). Didn't want to waste it so used it for my sleep ins at work. Will find something to replace it from my perfume collection.

    Afternoon all

Would like to rejoin this challenge as last update from me was back in February before I had internet problems.

Not been in a great place but have now given myself the kick up the backside I needed and want to use all the lovely products I have. Most of my old want to use up just got put to the side and in a couple of cases brought cheaper products to replace and used them.

Well no more, it's time I get working through all I need to and get rid of as much as I can.

June PP (some of these you may recognise from my previous PP and most probably will not take much to finish)

    Aveda pure abundance shampoo
    Toni &Guy extreme hold hairspray
Toni & Guy stick it up gel
    Dolce showel gel
    Dolce body lotion
    Dolce perfume
    Kiehl facial cleanser
    Gatineau radiance the nhancing gommage
    Elemis pro-radiance illuminating flash balm
    Decleor phytopeel
    Elemis pro-collagen oxygenating night cream

    June UU's

Gillette artic ice gel deoderant 70ml
Sensodyne pro-enamel toothpaste 75ml (expect a couple more of these as I have more almost finished tubs left that I have rounded up)
    Listerine stay white mouthwash 1l
Fremfresh 250ml pure an fresh wash

    GMAT
Lost my way for far too long but now back on board to lead a more simplistic lifestyle

    Quick update from me...

    Ins - M&S summer beauty box :o
The two sunscreens (face and body) have got straight into the pile for Glastonbury, as I only have huge ones in the cupboard, no use to travel with.

    Outs:
    - Ritual T'ai Chi foaming shower gel sensation, 50ml. WDBA - got my sister to get me full size ones for my birthday, as I love it :) Even this small size lasted ages, very happy.
    - dr. organic Royal Jelly Eye Serum. WNBA. Didn't do much, wasn't a big fan anyway, so used it up faster on neck/decolletage also.
    - Garnier Olia hair dye. WDBA. I always buy this one, very happy with it.

Nails painted a couple of days ago Miss Europe Vernis Professionnel in Magenta Fraise, with my new Leighton Denny top coat to try it out ;) Love the gloss finish, but have a couple of ships already - though i suspect that's the actual nail polish rather than the top coat.
  • Hi everyone!
Welcome back GMAT. Hope poorly people are feeling better.
Fair bit to declare. INs first.
    26-30. Tarte TSV from QVC
    31. L'Oreal True Match Foundation. My beloved Rimmel Match Perfection seems to not be sitting well at the moment so I'm giving this a go as an everyday foundation.
    32. MUA Pixel Perfect Multi Blush in Peach Bloom. These blushes are so pretty. I restrained myself from buying every colour!
    33. MUA Eyebrow Pencil. Boring but hopefully it'll do the job. Only thing is it looked fine under shop lights but now I think it might be a little dark.

Thankfully I have UUs to even things out (a bit)!
    3. Carmex Original Lip Balm. WDBA once I've UU'd the other two I have! This is the pot version which I prefer over the tube and stick.
    4. Maybelline Brow Pencil. WNBA. Good colour for me and I loved that it had a spoolie on the end but it's too soft and waxy so I can't use powder over the top very easily.
    5. Lush Pumice thing. WMBA. It's good but I find these solid scrubs a bit unwieldy.
    6. Lush Charity Pot sample. WNBA. I found this when I was clearing out a drawer and shoved what was left on my elbows and knees but I don't like Lush body moisturisers. They just don't sink in.
I also sold two Lush items on eBay.

VALM - Have you got any recommendations for MakeupGeek eyeshadows? I'm thinking about making myself a 9-pan palette with them, 4 neutral, 4 pink/purples and a highlight for inner corner/brow like Shimma Shimma. There are so many to choose from though!
The Tarte palette is lovely isn't it? I thought the blush might be too bright for me but it's actually quite subtle. I'm really pleased with it, and the mascara is amazing! I'm not 100% on the foundation yet. I'm surprised they market it as full coverage, I find it quite lightweight/sheer. How do you apply it? I've tried the brush and my fingers but I'm not entirely happy with either currently. Still really pleased with the TSV overall though!

Gemzie121 - VALM's photo idea is great! And having a goal like the Halloween/Christmas ranges is a really good motivation. I've managed to stop my Lush binge though I do keep an eye on the Kitchen still! Avoshower seems to come up reasonably often. I found sorting through everything made me much more aware of what I had. Some of it was worse than I thought and some of it was not so bad. I also felt much 'lighter' after just admitting to myself that some of it just wasn't for me. Yes, you could see it as wasted money but the money's gone, it's not coming back so it's just not worth worrying about. I gave away as much as I could and then other stuff I just binned or repurposed to clean the bath etc. It's not worth stressing over or feeling guilty - see what I'm about to rant about below! - life is too short. While I completely accept I have too much stuff, it makes me happy. I'm never going to have just the bare essentials but I want to make better decisions and not get completely out of control.

I'm really struggling not to binge buy makeup at the moment. I feel like I've tamed the toiletry side for the most part but I genuinely miss treating myself to makeup more often. Buying some this week has cemented that for me. I was so happy to have new stuff to experiment with. Also, I lost almost two stone last year and have put back on half a stone and, this might sound strange but it's true, when I'm out shopping I end up buying food instead of going into Superdrug. Popping to Superdrug and spending £10-20 every now and again was a nice treat or pick me up for me and now I'm turning back to food and, seeing as that could affect my health, that's worse than buying make up in the long term particularly as I've had high cholesterol in the past and have ongoing joint problems. So I'm considering stopping counting ins and outs for make up - only on makeup, not any toiletries or candles. I'm not certain yet. There are very few other 'frivolous' areas in life I spend lots of money on. I don't buy loads of clothes, I don't go out drinking, I don't go on lots of fancy holidays. I don't have any collections or anything like that. I just feel like I'm creating an opportunity to make myself feel guilty by telling myself I shouldn't be buying something that makes me happy and that doesn't seem healthy to me.

Sorry for the long post but this seemed the most appropriate place to air my thoughts on this! I'd be interested to see what other people think. I'm not saying I want to abandon the challenge and I know some people don't even count their make up for this. I also think, more so than toiletries, it's important for me to have variety with makeup and I don't want to lose that.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! :)
