realistically i buy a good for £30 f it doesnt turn up yes i have their name and address but what would i do with it? go and have a chat? take them to court?
with paypal as long as you follow their t+c's its relatively easy to get your money back if not then you still have the option to chase them up
Worst end take them to court.
But look on the bright side, very few sellers are out to rip you off, and your seller has 1000 odd feedbacks and 97.something positives which despite what you might read here is very good.
Imagine how many high st. retailers would love to have 97% of their transactions to go well.
Don't risk your account on the *off chance* someone *might* rip you off.0 -

I paid for something, i didn't get it.
Seller became Naru'd.
I put in a paypal claim, which I won (because they had long gone), paypal said I was due a refund.
Seller had cleared out their paypal account, thankfully paypal will refund me just as soon as more money is put into the scammer account.
All I know about the seller is a hotmail email address.
If I'd payed by cheque I'd have had a real address.
All this talk of paypal being the only safe way to buy things on ebay is not really true, as my own experiances show.0 -

I'm think you're being disingenuous, as I'm sure you know that this is never going to happen. Claim through your credit card, or grow old and die waiting for money to go into that account.

You have the methods of resolving these problem transactions at your fingertips - if you choose not to bother, yes, no doubt you will never be entirely safe paying with paypal :rolleyes:My TV is broken!
