Declined for tesco card for balance transfer

Aftere been told intially i was accepted this morning i gets a phone call from Tesco just to clarify a few details in my applicatiion, They asked me no different questions to which i answered in my on line application i gave the same answers "Right ill just run that throu.......................Sorry its been declined Bye" All i wanted to do was to transfer a balance from barclaycard which they knew about, Payments not missed ever on electrol roll been at same address 16 years home owner etc.Full time employment in job 28 years Cant say im over impressed to be honest but there you go.

No-one knows what the lending criteria is for any given product.
Don't take it personally - you could be declined because they like people who pay off their CC in full every month, any reason in fact.
You don't say how much your credit limit is with BC or what percentage of that card your balance is.
