Can't they all be repatriated if we are no longer a part of the EU?kingrulzuk wrote: »We have doggy dave, useless chancellor and Canadian governor.
Are you starting new rumours about our Dave? First pigs now you're suggesting something to do with dogs? Or is he just a poodle?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
There's much less of that now than there was centuries ago (or even quite recently). Isn't society better for it? It will never be perfect, but that's no reason to give up and take a backwards step.[/QUOT
Isnt upwards social mobility the worst its been for years for the working class now?
Im not bleating on about the poor downtrodden working and lower class i know fine well a lot are never gonna change, hell a lot dont want to change!0 -
Look the only way to stop the TIDE of the 'lower labour costs and un-elected fools in Strasbourg is to vote OUT !
If you do not,you will get more of the same, laws made by unelected jobsworths and laws passed by elitist's who are on the side of multi-nationals and global dominance.
Why do you think CEO' s have power and say the PM's and even countries own governments nowadays? Why! As they are in cahoots with the political class for control and many countries like in the US have leaders elected thanks to their political campaigns being financed by their backers who are the real masters ! The elected person who becomes leader of a country and or Gov is just a pawn in a game of political chess and power! He or she does as they are told to some degree by the masters or no more political War chess to fight elections with mate!
Getting back to the EU its just become something completely different,oh yes the true self! Whats that! > The nazi German designed EEC that was on the drawing board in the late 1930' s for what they would do with the EU countries after the war! So in reflection today's EU is a more modern version where Germany still calls the shots as they have the power of the dollar so to speak! Well they have conquered Europe without firing a bullet ?:T
I would vote remain if I thought things could change back to the way the EU use to be or indeed the way I feel it should be,trade and friendship ONLY with some freedom of movement for its people's across borders not hoards hoping to make it to the promise land!
It's just all got out of control and may just fall into the sea thanks to the IDIOTIC decision made by Chancellor Schroder before Merkel to allow so many new states in and all join the EU. Currency!
The currency should have been allowed for the first 20 years to old Europe or the 5 biggest economies in the club to see how the currency could weather financial storms .Why as just one interest rate and all currency decisions made by the central bank, meaning states in problems like Greece ,Spain,Italy cannot act to try a change rates etc.
Oh yeah another waste of money project, did you know all ,they move every month to another parliament building just to keep the French happy as they argued over when the EU should be based! !!!!ing crazy isn't it! No wonder the whole of Europe wants out, ashame as its suppose to bring countries together not divide and bring hate, though that's elitist's for ya,I am alright Jack and sod everybody else!
Over and out.0 -

Vote IN if you want to be in an expensive club with no control over borders or our countries future and ruled by people you will never have heard of.
Vote OUT if you want to be master of our own destiny ruled by people you voted in to do so.
Cheers fj
The wording does not represent the actual situation:
The borders of the EU are policed rigorously: you only need to switch on the news to see evidence of how difficult it is to enter "fortress Europe". And that isn't good enough for you? Would you like to see internal controls, so that a visa is required for a trip from London to Birmingham? Do you think I should be obliged to apply for a work permit if I want to teach English in Barcelona?
The rulers of the EU are the elected governments of the various countries. If you have never heard of the leading politicians of Britain and its neighbours, you need to learn how to read a newspaper.0 -

No, it isn't. For example, both my parents were working class, had no qualifications to speak of, and spent most of their lives on what are now called 'in work benefits' owing to their low income. That didn't prevent me from getting a first class education and what I consider to be a top-notch career. The mayor of London is the son of an immigrant bus driver. You also have the likes of Alan Sugar, who grew up in a council flat and is now a billionaire with a seat in the house of lords.
Your information is unfortunately out of date.
There was a huge increase in social mobility from the 1960s to the 1990s approximately. Since then things have got much worse, which is obviously concerning, but in review I believe that it was this period that was the anomaly, not the recent return to rigid social and financial inheritance.
I have a similar story to you, first person in the family to go to university on the 1980s, now professionally chartered etc etc
One of the big problems is, like immigrants, people in our situation have drawn up the ladder as soon as we've benefitted from it. Once you have nearly 50% of people getting degrees then employment is not just reliant on the qualification but on family and friends knowing how things are done and the correct approach, contacts etc to which the natural tendency is to exclude those from ther backgrounds.
You can always quote exceptions or those who have beat the system, the fact is they are rare in the last twenty years. Promising kids from a poor background would have a higher chance of being the new Rooney in many cases.0
