Another fan of the IT luggage - got ours from a Domo outlet where it was buy one get one half price - all four of us have a medium sized one which is more than ample for the 15kg limit with space to spare for bringing things home.
They are tough and have a lifetime guarantee. The other thing is that they are available in bright patterns, which stand out on the carousel!!

The two I bought from Debenhams are Tripp medium size cases in what is supposed to be lime green. Slightly yellower than true lime, but still different enough for luggage carousels. They only had the medium in lime and pink, and I knew my hubby would have made me take them back if I bought pink!
I did have need to speak to someone about the price, customer service told me that my local store didn't sell luggage, and she was taken aback when I pointed out I had just bought them from there. I do wish one could phone direct to the store, it takes forever to get through to the correct department via the number on the receipt. Anyway, all sorted now, and I'm really pleased with them, thank you to all for your recommendations. Fpcat

Our suitcases are from Debenhams, both Tripp. Always a good price, so we were able to change from two wheels without great expense.

Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)

It has nothing at all to do with the price of fish at the market.

But it does have to do with weight.

If you've got a hold luggage limit of 15 or 20kgs it's sensible to consider the weight of the suitcase when it's empty.
Not so important when your regular hold luggage limit is 32kgs.

I'll have a nice piece of halibut, thanks. :p

    No Halibut in today.

Well, it's a shame you didn't tell the OP that to start with. :rotfl:

    I'll pass on the salmon.

Erm...if they are travelling on Ryanair, do you think it sensible to suggest luggage at this price point? So no, I suggested something a lot cheaper but still good quality. But you had to stick your nostrils in :)
No salmon? Too bad, it made for great sashimi. I 've kept some Pollock for you on the side.

I used to pick up 2-3 cases a year from either TKMaxx or Debenhams but they didn't last long so I would suggest Tumi or Rimowa pricey but worth it.

Thanks for that. There is a Debenhams and TKMaxx next to each other about 10 miles away, but a much bigger store about 40 miles away. HoF are 65 miles away in Swansea, don't want to go that far. I'll check the smaller ones tomorrow, keeping in mind the brands you suggest. Yes, it would be nice to have a case with more than one wheel!

Sadly, House of Fraser no longer has a store in Swansea. Just thought I'd post in case anyone travelled there and was disappointed.

I'd echo the wisdom of buying 4 wheeled cases (rather than 2). I'm happy with the Tripp ones from Debenhams and they often seem to have offers.

If you do mini breaks as well as longer holidays it's worth getting approved cabin cases too for when you want to travel light.

What is an approved cabin case? I wasn't aware that there was an approved size across the industry
