Came home and made tea. Hadn't the energy for anything else but watched the sewing bee. DS and his GF did too, DS started by moaning about my choice in viewing then got into it And pointed out that he'd made the cushion in his room. Filled DW.
    Welcome eye bright.

Hi all, welcome Eyebright, little and often is the only way. You will be amazed at the difference 30 minutes a day can make over time.

So today ... up at half six, bathroom swished, tea in sc, dishwasher emptied, off to drop DS1 at work and DS2 at the bus stop. 4 hrs at paid stuff no. 1, home to put in a load of washing, 15 minutes hoovering and half an hour on job no. 2. Then off to school to get DS2, take him to work, wait half an hour for DS1 to finish his work then take him home, shovel down some pasta and back to job no. 1 for a meeting. Wait half an hour in the car for DS2 to finish work then home, bring in washing, quick cup of tea and say hello to dog and husband then here I am, in bed with the laptop.

And up at half six to do it all again tomorrow. Time for sleep, will catch up properly I promise x

Done a few more random things:
    - Spent more than an hour on a report
    - Did about 45 mins of new course
    - cleaned bathroom handbasin
    - Did an hour or so in the garden
    - Did a search earning £2 on topcashback for Mr N's motorbike insurance
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Evening everyone and a warm welcome to Eyebright

So this morning there wasn't any hot water  DH did a moan - as if it was my fault. I phoned up later in morning and two electricians turned up at the back of 2.00. They were here for just over an hour and replaced and double-checked all the electrical parts including controls and boiler parts. Fingers xd that's it fixed.

Had to have the cupboard out where the fuse-boxes live for the 'leccies so gave it a clean out. Swept and washed the floor. Sorted the coats and shoes, found two handbags that need sorting and replaced all the rest neatly.

I have planted up all the pots and boxes on the balcony and given them all a good water.

Good morning all. Lovely and sunny here again. Thanks for the lists.

So yesterday, no time to post as I was busy S&Sing in every room including cleaning the inside of the windows and hoovered through. Also did 2 loads of washing.

This morning, I plan to change the bedding, do some things from the list and cut the back grass as a minimum. Have a pounding headache but hope some pills will attack that.

    Welcome newbies and returners.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning peeps!

TD has tried to mend itself, so not sure if there's an intermittent fault or what. So today, in hope that it will be working to its full potential, I'll be tackling Mount Laundry...

Oh, and shovelling out the caravan...

The kitchen was spotless yesterday afternoon. Kids and DH arrive home and everything is Ground Zero again. How is that possible?

    Morning all,

Been up since 5.30 cracking on with jobs. All tax paid up to date, phew! So far I have also:
    - taken delivery of food shopping and put it away
    - made DH lunch and dispatched him to work
    - put a DW cleaner in and set it on a hot wash
    - load of clothes in WM
    - made arrangements for mum to have DD for a sleepover next week

Off to make breakfast for the small people and admire my handiwork in the garden yesterday, I planted loads of pots up. Oh, must must must buy nappies today!

    Have lovely days all xx:)

ETA - please can I have opinions in toys. We have been through the Marie Kondo process with great success but toys are still a bug bear. They seem to be everywhere, living room, dining room, hall, kids rooms etc and, whilst they don't have many toys at all by a lot of their friends standards they are spread all over the place. My preference would be for just a small box downstairs and the rest in their rooms. What do you guys do? X

    Morning all!!
Atb- when the boys were little they had toys in the living room and their bedrooms but the living room ones got played with the majority of the time. When youngest hit 3 years old the majority went in their rooms with just a box of cars and a few other little toys in a box by the side of the sofa. At three they were confident enough to play in their bedrooms.
We moved last summer and now have the luxury of a playroom. All toys are now in the playroom and the bedrooms have books and clothes (which makes them easier to keep tidy!!). Our living room was a toy free zone up until last week when a little basket has appeared for little miss's toys!!!!
Don't get me wrong- the boys bring toys to other rooms but they know where they 'live' and where to put them back!!! I love the fact that I can just shut the door on the playroom!!!!

    Anyway list for today....

    Gloss skirting boards
    Town- for errands
    Pop into OHs work
    Dd hospital app

    Tidy utility room
    Sweep and mop kitchen floors
    Wash dining room windows..
Clear and wipe out the oven and hob

    Wash living room windows
Sort through coats 'n' bags n shoes etc

I cleared the ironing pile in Thursday (the day my wm went to wm heaven!!!!!). My mum took three loads and brought it back washed, dried and ironed!!! (Love her!!!!). My washing baskets are now full again but my new washer doesn't come until tomorrow so I have done no washing or ironing in 5 days. I know I will have to make up for it in the next few days!!!!!
