I got sucked into the internet
Where has this morning gone?!?! I've done the dailies upstairs but thats it. I think I need to do a slightly extended HHC and see how many things I can get crossed off my list. Washing out first and I have an alarm going off at 12.15 so I'll keep going until then.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Todays school run done.. DS1's gf picking squeak up from dance so I can do dinner which is extremely helpful of her and I am utterly grateful..
DS3 has actually painted the hallway.. I am very much in shock! I'll go do the stairs and then he can do the landing.. it's only a little bit up there.
Pixie is sleeping so I get to do it in peace. I'll wash down the stairs as I go and the grotty spindles.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

DS3 is just doing the last bit.. I've washed the spindles and most of the paintwork so far.. I am utterly shattered now! Amazing how much difference nice walls and clean paintwork and a bit more light makes!
Having a crisp and tea break
OH just done his last exam for this academic year.... I am really looking forward to having him home again

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining Mess
Level One
[STRIKE]Sweep[/STRIKE] and mop floorsDesperately needs mopping but I've run out of time.
[STRIKE]Declutter and wipe worksurfaces[/STRIKE]Did the longest one. Some "stuff" had to be put on the shortest one to sort another time, but promise everything which could be chucked/re-homed immediately has been done.
Level Two
Wipe ALL [STRIKE]large appliances and units[/STRIKE] and kickboards OK so not all, but toaster, kettle, DW and WM all wiped. Tray I keep coffee/teapot/cafetiere on has been washed.
[STRIKE]Wipe and replace all small appliances[/STRIKE]
Also:
all plants in kitchen, lounge/diner and hall have been watered.
Been to physio.
Been to town to get gf flour for cake I promised to take to the tutor meal on Wed. Tried 4 different shops ranging from newsagent to ££ shop to find plain chocolate but there seems to be a world shortage. Sighed and went to Mr T. Now, aside from it being very "big brother", I've always been reasonably impressed how supermarkets target your discount vouchers to what you actually use. So how can buying bananas, apricots, chocolate and margarine inform them that I need a voucher for Tena Lady Pads?? An item I've never yet had the need for.
Printed off bits of new course.
Next plan to resist garden and do at least an hour of a report, and possibly start the course. Probably with a coffee break somewhere in the middle.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
DW on
Painty things washed and away.. I need to get the kitchen done next.. Can I trust DS3 to do the edges I wonder? He will be glad to go back to college on Wednesday hahaha.. Just back home from work. I stayed late to help the teacher stick some stuff in and get the books up to date. Just back in time to get the washing in before the heavens opened, then the rain stopped once it was all in. Lol typical.
Going out toninght to order bench then will do tea and some knitting. going to have a quick S&S round downstairs so I can knit later.
Hugs to everyone who needs one.SPC~12 ot 124

Hope you have room for a little one? Found this group after a hiatus from MSE and it's just what I need! I work FT and never seem to prioritise the housework, and my house has suffered for it. Cue to now, I'm 16 weeks pregnant and suddenly making my house look spick and span is higher on the priority list!
I'm out of the house from 7.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, but I think 30-60mins of housework most evenings and more at the weekend should be plenty to keep on top of things a bit more!
Thank you for the list Pigpen, I've used that to help guide me this evening. I've also placed an order for a Te$co delivery to arrive tomorrow. OH is cooking dinner, and I will help him clean up afterwards to ensure the kitchen is left spotless!!!
