Good morning,
This morning I have received 3 parking charge notices for parking eye car park in morecambe,
For the 2nd 5th and 6th may, no I see from here that this is not uncommon but also usually for over stays, where as we bought tickets for all the days we parked! And left within the bought time limit.
We however do not have the tickets anymore, as we did not think we would get these parking charges. We have used this car park many times over the years and are clearly

, we are also not in the habit of trying it on with these lot for the sake of a couple of pounds either.
My questions are.
How the heck am I going to appeal £180 quids worth of charges when we definitely paid for tickets but have not kept them.
The car park was empty bar 10 cars, no attendant, pictures are of entering and leaving, one is for 17 mins, the other two are for 1hour 12 mins, and 1hour. 41 mins.
Kindest regards

Your first mistake was using a car park the operate and now you know why good advice is to stay out and stay away.
You are bound by a contract for 6 years in these car parks and you must keep all proof you performed the obligations of that contract for 6 years as this is how long they have to take you to court.

You now have three choices, pay or use the appeal system to obtain a popla code and try your luck at popla appeals using the templates ir await court papers and fight in court.

Whatever you decide , stay out and stay away from any car park they run, it is very good money saving advice to do so and make sure everyone you know knows about this.

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal using the BPA template in blue that you will find there. That is stage one done. Send a separate appeal for each ticket.

Then read up on PoPLA (stage 2.)

The first two tickets look like they may be too late for keeper liability if ANPR was used. All exlained in the NEWBES.

to enter your number incorrectly once , is ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

but to do it 3 times?

    perhaps there equipment was faulty?

The Council car park right next to this one is far safer to use.
Alternatively spend some money at Morrisson's and use their car park. No PE in this one. It was EURO but they went for some reason.
Avoid the PE managed Aldi store on the seafront as well.

The NEWBIES thread will guide you through the process and it looks like for at least two tickets you can easily sort. BUT NEVER DIVULGE the name of the driver.

It can't be rocket science (but not as profitable) for the ticket machine to say VRN not recognised. I view this as fraud in my book.

Hi, Yes, it asked to punch in the reg number, and done correctly, it was so empty it was parked right next to the machine so not much room for error.
    The first was
Date of event 02-05-2016, date issued 11-05-2016
    Second was
    DOE 04-05-2016 Date issued 11-05-2016
    Third was
DOE 05-05-2016 date of issue 11-05-2016

Read the newbie section still can't see how I'm going to fight it, grace periods with over stays but a charge for a ticket I've already bought but not retained.
Thank you for your answers so far.

after your appeal is dismissed you ask them for a printout from their machines for a period of 1/2 hr before ticket(s) purchased and 1/2 hr after , reminding them that if they will not give it to you , they can bring it to court.

Have you retained the envelopes these came in? What was the date of the postmark?
    Or was it UK Mail?

Without giving away your VRN number does it have a V in it?

I always avoid PE car parks so I don't know the layout of the ticket machine.
I'm in Morecambe next week sometime, I will take a picture of the ticket machine to see if there can be a confusion of letters and numbers.

The NEWBIE thread gives your initial appeal to PE but only state 'the driver' paid for the ticket not I or myself. You are appealing as the registered keeper.

As this is a money grabbing exercise they will reject your initial appeals though.
You appeal each notice separately and get free proof of posting for each.

I think there is a technology failure here that PE won't want to admit to.

See this other thread and Pappa Golf replies, all very important info on the does and don'ts,
