You will need to take it to the next stage, you need to write a letter to the company HQ, its down to them to burden the proof rather than you. So, has the store tested it on theirs? Give them 7 days to rectify and let us know.0

This is true, however the consumer has the burden of proving the goods fail to conform to contract. Once they have done that then its down to the company to prove the lack of conformity isn't inherent in nature. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Hey guys, my apologies for only now replying but I haven't received any notifications to say anyone has replied (I'm pretty useless with technology as you can probably tell) to my thread. I have a quick update regarding this situation. My son had failed to tell me that he has a friend who works at a Game store, he messaged him on social media and told him about his situation. His friend then offered him to visit the store so he could sort the problem personally. Now, I have no idea what will happen but I shall reply with the outcome as soon as I know. I know what you guys are saying, I have done research on this overheating, crashing etc and found absolutely nothing of relevance. If my son gets a replacement, which is what I'm hoping for. To see if it is his PLS4 or if it was something to do with the actual disc, I will keep you updated regardless.
Thanks for the replies :-)0 -
should have just asked them to check it in store then you would have known if it was your sons PS4 or the disk there and then
buy good luck hope it gets sorted0 -
Thanks for the reply flightboy, when I visited the store previously they checked it on their in store console and it was working as it should according to them. But when I tried it again on my sons console after returning home from the store it was still the same problem happening. My son will be getting a replacement when he visits his friend in store some time this week, he is going to have a swap to test. I shall post the outcome when he tries it out :-)0

Thanks guys, I shall return it. I can only hope that they are in a good mood. I'm just praying that it's the same on their in-store console or else I'll have to drag my son's PLS4 down there with me just to prove that I'm not some litter spitter. Bloody luck I have when buying things, everything my wife buys works out of the box for years on end. Whatever I purchase falls to pieces, the opposite of Midas touch
A long time ago when I was still playing PC games vs console games I bought Dead Space when it first came out and it was really lagging on my PC and I took it back to the shop and said that even thought it appeared to be my pc that was the issue they did issue a refund so I think you should get something - even store credit or a replacement.
Edit: I would try a different store if you can.The truth is out there... and I want to believe0 -
Hey all, a quick update regarding this thread. The problem has been solved. My son took it to the Game store which his friend worked at. He refunded him the £49.99 for the game for the reason of the game being defective. Full refund received 0
