OE seem to be in a position to bear these expenditures and losses without causing general concern. My worry is that this rate of expansion will be at the expense of the "personal touch" (?) and that they will become no more responsive than the Big 6. As evidenced by the lack of email communications for a start.Telegraph Sam

As evidenced by the lack of email communications for a start. From what I have seen them say most emails to Octopus are answered by its Kraken technology, the reason for non replies is some emails sent to them get stuck and dont go where supposed to gohttps://uk.trustpilot.com/review/eonnext.com - amazing customer service cited by many again due to Kraken technology

It’s been a regular occurrence for me for emails to go completely unanswered, from before I joined to now. A few have got replies. Though in fairness I find it usually easier to just call them, but sometimes their customer services ask to email. I don’t think it’s a rare thing, as if I call and say I emailed they can usually pull up the email and go ah I see it, sorry we hadn’t replied. Yet their website says emails replied to within 1 to 2 days.0

I await my second Tracker invoice imminently .. In your experience are the 3 "default" quotes that they provide [Super Green, Fixed, and Flexible, from memory} the most favourable from the very large no of "All our Tariffs" that still qualify as "current"?
It would take a lot of number crunching to verify this but perhaps one of the Forumites is sufficiently motivated.
The innovative tariffs including Tracker are of course somewhat different.Telegraph Sam

Octopus Exclusive 24M Fixed May 2021 v1 is cheaper than the 3 "default" quotes that they provide
Equally January Direct Tariff - Electricity Unit rate 15.72 p/kWh Standing charge: 23.39 p/day,Gas Unit rate: 2.76 p/kWh Standing charge: 17.83 p/day that you said a few months ago Octopus were keeping for you may well turn out to be cheaper than Tracker tariff over 12 month period,7 days up until 16 May average rate for me was 17.5p kwh inc Vat7 days up until 23 May average rate for me was 16.8p kwh inc Vat

I was with Octopus for 2 years in the EV Go. I have moved I am unable to get back on to EV Go as octopus dont have any smart meter and can give a appointment or eta as to when I can get them. Its costing a lot more to charge my car and set the timer to charge at peak times in the day cost them more.0

Have you tried getting an appointment via Twitter? Worked for me.CrashUK said:I was with Octopus for 2 years in the EV Go. Just use the filters that are on the tariff page now, it is very easy to cut out what you don't need to see...Telegraph_Sam said:... from the very large no of "All our Tariffs" that still qualify as "current"?

I fear that the Direct tariff is no more, or if it is I cannot find it.bristolleedsfan said:Octopus Exclusive 24M Fixed May 2021 v1 is cheaper than the 3 "default" quotes that they provide

Significant is that if I now ask for a "quote", Tracker is still highlighted in pole position way cheaper (£200 p.a.) than the other 3 defaults.Just what significance you attach to a daily variable tariff such as Tracker is perhaps a moot point. By my calcs my electricity has averaged 16.54 p over the past month. But I'm still learning ...Telegraph Sam

Even at current rates Tracker still seems (for me) to be cheaper than the Octopus fixed alternatives. I have not worked through every one but now that I see the filters this makes the job more practicable.Telegraph Sam
